Baltimore pike eastbound near chambers. Watch for this near chambers road in Kennett SquareChester County not seeing the road closed at this point but with crews on the scene i would look for that. Expect icy conditions with this water main break in nether providence township. Firefighters rush to rescue residents from a burning Apartment Building in Montgomery County overnight. Action News ReporterAnnie Mccormick is live at the washington towers apartments in whitemarsh township. Annie. Reporter matt at one point people actual had to jump for safety. We were told at least three people have been transported to abington hospital but they have nonlifethreatening injuries. At one point there was a school bus outside to keep people warm while they waited to find another place to stay. At this point though we are also told it took about an hour and half to get this fire under control. This is video of that blaze. It broke out just before 1 00 a. M. In the 400 block of South Bethlehem pike in whitemarsh township at the washington towers apartment complex. Firefighters focused on second and third floors of the fourstory building. They also found fire in the area of the rear of the building. There are reports of several ladder rescues. Little jasmine, her sister maria showed us the video they took of the flames, their familiar had to jump to safety. Maria says she was scared. I was awake and my mom was trying to put her boots on and i put my boots on and then we and then she went to the window. I was thinking that i was about to break my head reporter brave little girl. Again, maria her little sister and her mom all jumping from their second floor apartment to safety. They are unharmed. Now, the red cross tells me that they are assisting two families who have been displaced. Now, there was another building on the ground of that apartment complex. New from overnight a fast moving fire damaged a house in north philadelphia. It broke out on the 2900 block of north 23rd street around 1 30 this morning. Investigators say the fire started in the kitchen on the first floor and then quickly spread to the second. There are no reports of injuries. New this morning, rescuers had to cut a driver out of her car after a headon crash in south jersey. The car and a pickup truck collided along route 206 near stokes road in shamong Burlington County at 11 30 last night. The driver of the car a 23yearold woman, was flown to the hospital with a leg fracture. Two other people were injured but their conditions have not been released. State Police Closed route 206 while they investigated but it has since reopened. It is 5 05 and two women are still in the hospital this morning hurt after falling bricks caused part of a roof to come crashing down on shoppers in center city. This happened inside the lululemon store on the 1500 block of walnut street. Right there in the heart of the shopping district yesterday afternoon. The bricks had fallen from a building next door. Three female shoppers were injured by the falling debris. Coming up in our next half hour, well break down the investigation with a full report. On eastern long island an army of snowplows worked to clear highways and in connecticut there were snow buried cars as you can see right there. But as we all know the storms eastward shift ended up sparing philadelphia and new york city which was virtually shut down monday night. The noreaster continues to wing its way up through nova scotia so were losing that cloud cover and dry air out of the north is eroding that stuff out to the west. There could be a couple popup clouds later this afternoon but pretty bright brisk and cold though with ajust 28 degrees and wind chills in the teens and low 20s through the day. And down the shore 36 degrees, a little bit better but still mostly sunny and brisk with wind chills in the teens and 20s as we move through the day. Pretty much the same story in philadelphia. Sunday afternoon 33 and in the afternoon and evening hours there could be a mixed precipitation moving in that extends into and perhaps through a good portion of monday. Okay, thank you karen. Rescue crews had to evacuate an eight month old baby from a cruise ship in the gulf of mexico. The ship was about 140 miles southeast of galveston texas. Authorities say the baby was suffering from seizures hadnt trouble breathing. The baby girl her mother and a nurse were flown to a houston hospital. No word yet on that babys condition. San Francisco Police say three men wearing ski masks rammed a stolen suv into the Wells Fargo Museum and then took off with quite a hall. They say the suspects armed with assault weapons held up a Security Guard and then made off with several golden nuggets that had been on display. Those nuggets are valued at more than 50,000.
