Periods of rain, much of it will be light through the area. Very mild, a high of 64 degrees. Overnight tonight and tomorrow the fog develops. A lot of people traveling visiting family and tomorrow will be a difficult travel day with the fog nd rain on the way. Good morning, everybody. Were still watch something overnight construction here on the ramp from the schuylkill eastbound to the vine eastbound. That ramp remains shut down. The ramp from the schuylkill westbound to the vine eastbound has reopened as has the vine itself on the westbound side. So, its in the process of wrapping up but stale a few restrictions. Same is true on 95, the off ramp to cottman blocked. Should be opening in any minute. On the southbound lanes go the taillights moving along okay despite the damp conditions on 95. Still work on the northeast extension as well. Northbound right lane blocked near lansdale. Southbound two lanes out of commission so you could be seeing some delays as you come down from quakertown. And theres still a broken down vehicle in newark in the northbound lanes of 95 at 896, one of those lanes is blocked on this tuesday morning. Tam. Okay, thank you, matt. Philadelphia homicide detectives are looking for the gun plan who shogunman who shoto death along the 300 block of horten street in West Philadelphia around 7 30 last night. Not clear if this victim was targeted. Investigators say law shot once in the head;, he was shot once in the head. When the neighbors saw him he still was holding the leash in his hand and the dog was attached. Although he was unconscious he was Still Holding onto his leash. So far ah motive in this case remains a mystery. A fast moving fire broke out at a home in the kensington section of philadelphia overnight and investigator its say it may have been intentionally set. The action cam was on the scene on the 3000 block of d street. Authorities say everyone was able to escape without getting hurt. The red cross is helping the families find a place for the time being and the fire marshal will determine if this, indeed, was a case of arson. Its 5 oh tree. Prominent philadelphia psychiatrist has been found dead. His body was discovered in a Center City Hotel and police say his death may involve foul play. Lets go over to our katherine scott. Were told police have obtained Surveillance Footage and theyre trying to identify people coming and going from the doctors hotel room. We do know his name but were not releasing it as family members are still being notified. The crime scene unit carried bags of evidence from the inn where a prominent psychiatrist was found dead yesterday. Police sources say a louse keep are discovered his body on the floor of his hotel room shortly before noon. They say the 75yearold will a cloth wrapped tightly around his neck and there were adult toys around the room. Suspicious death in manner so at this point theyre looking at it, investigating it and pretty much taking it step by step from there. Reporter sources say there was no other visible trauma on the doctors body and there was no sign of forced entry. They add the psychiatrist frequently used the fifth floor room as his apartment. His office just blocks away. A bartender who works nearby says the hotel is known to attract a variety of people. Definitely a mixed crowd. A lot of transients, a lot of shady quote unquote folks but also a lot of business people. The Delaware Valley University Team and their coach were on their way to see star wars after working out before a tournament. But a driver seemed to intentionally drive onto the curb hitting them and other pedestrians. Rather than compete the team spent yesterday countering their blessings. Everyone is out of the hospital recovering from mostly bumps and bruises. And the woman behind the wheel in that awful situation is scheduled to be in a vegas courtroom today. Police say 24yearold lakisha holloway was living in the car with her threeyearold daughter for days but investigators are still trying to determine why holloway allegedly drove onto the sidewalk killing one person and injuring dozens more. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is making a move in New Hampshire. All the Marathon Town Hall meetings bar visits house parties and overall time invested in New Hampshire finally seems to be paying off for the republican. Poll after poll shows the governor making games in the first in the nations primary state. Christie is still running fourth in New Hampshire but has doubled his support in a month. The states primary is on february 9th. Divisions have deepened over pennsylvanias budget impasse. Governor wolf is threatening to veto a short term emergency spending package thats being proposed by the house. Wolf and Senate Republicans want to continue o working on the entire spending package. The state budget was due back on june 30th. I think that will be more of an issue for tomorrow when so many people are traveling. That could be a pretty big problem through the area. The temperature is 44 degrees, the dewpoint 48 degrees right now. The winds are out of the south, theyre pretty light at 6 Miles Per Hour and the barometric pressure is falling. Were going to be looking at wet conditions for the next few days coming up. So today is not a lot of rain. We could get a real soaking rain perhaps an inch of rain out of this so as youre traveling you got fog and wet conditions tomorrow. Today the rain is not quite as heavy. So far this morning its damp but traffic is moving fine along 309 here by dekalb pike. Still some overnight construction on the pennsylvania turnpike as you come eastbound away from 309 past willow grove, its taking out two lanes but shouldnt be out there too much longer. The work on the westbound side in Chester County between valley forge and malvern has cleared as has the construction on the northeast extension of the pennsylvania turnpike. Thats 476 both ways by lansdale, all lanes reopened. Overnight work that we had on the blue route portion of 476 northbound has cleared out as well. Speeds there in the mid50s. But there is a new crash south of media blocking the southbound side of 452. Thats pennell road near park drive. 452 southbound not the one you want to use. In newark still have broken down vehicle northbound on neiffer at 896 taking out a lane and theres construction in bellmawr blocking the ramp from 295 southbound to 42 northbound. Thats scheduled to clear in about 45 minutes. New on action news here, a texas grand jury decided to not indict anyone in the death of sandra bland, the 28yearold woman who was found hanging in her jail cell from a noose made from a plastic bag. Police in Waller County arrested her three days before that claiming she assault ed an officer during a traffic stop. They had ruled blands death a suicide. An attorney for the bland family says they still have many questions about the case. A new trial date lab set for william porter. Hes one of the six baltimore officers charged in connection with the death of freddie gray. Porters first trial ended in a hung jury and mistrial last week. Hell be back in court on june 13. The other five officers will be tried before that. Gray died a week after he suffered a broken neck in the back Avenue Police van. Prosecutors say porter did not buckle gray into app seat belt or call for an ambulance when gray indicated that he needed medical help. A gunman is on the loose after a deadly shooting in wilmington, delaware. The victim a 36yearold man died after being shot in the head. This happened on east 23rd street near market at 4 25 in the morning. Investigators are asking anyone with information to come forward. And the socalled affluenza teen is still out there on the run and texas Officials Say when hes caught he might be facing jail time. Officials are concerned that 18yearold ethan couch skipped town after missing one of his mandated check ins with his probation officer. His mother tonya is also missing along with her pickup truck. The fbi says they received hundreds of leads but no solid information. Couchs lawyers used an affluenza defense claiming his wealthy family overindulged him and never taught him right from wrong. That defense spared couch jail time after a deadly drunk driving crash. The temple owls take on the toledo rockets in the Boca Raton Bowl today.
