This is the bigger mass of rain and it will be rising up the coast and affecting at least parts of the region as we go through the ladder stages morning rush hour. Dense fog advisory in the meantime in effect. Technically philadelphia Delaware CountyNew Castle County not in this but there are some low visibilities under a quarter mile elsewhere across the region. As we take a look at the current visibility map philadelphia is still 5 miles, no problem there but trenton under a half mile and weve seen similar numbers waffling in and out of of play through the Lehigh Valley over toward lancaster and in and around millville and over towards toms river f youre driving around this morning you might encounter. That its mild. 57 degrees in philadelphia, 52 in allentown, 56 in millville, 55 in sea isle city. Heading out to the bus stop this morning, be careful of the patchy fog. Otherwise, cloudy and temperatures just kind of sticking in the mid50s between six and 8 oclock. Enjoy your time off kids. Some of you still have one more short day today. Now they have the eastbound left lane blocked as well as the left lane on the westbound side shut down so left lane out of commission in both directions on the a. C. Expressway. Emergency crews have been responding. Of course well keep you posted as the morning progresses. Also still watching some construction and you have to be careful this morning because it is foggy out there. So you come upon the construction crews pretty quickly and the fog and it can be sort of a dangerous situation. Theyre working on 295 southbound between the white horse pike and route 42. Also Still Closing the ramp from 295 southbound to 42 northbound and theyre working by produce junction on the white horse pike westbound approaching warwick road. On the big picture had a broken down vehicle on 95 northbound by girard. Thats gone but theres still one on the southbound side at the girard point bridge off to the side. And the vine street expressway has reopened. Overnight construction cleared. Crews dont return until sunday night so you get several days without the construction along that vine street expressway. Police found a 48yearold victim in between two parked cars along the 6600 block of krausen street last night. Witnesses say a man was meeting with someone outside they heard an argument then about five gun shots and then saw a marked man running away. Police cameras in there area recorded someone matching the description of the shooter. The search for him continues. And happening today, the family of a Montgomery County airman says his body along with five others will be flown to Dover Air Force base. The six americans were killed in mondays suicide bombing in afghanistan. Staff Sergeant Peter taub was a native of wyncote and graduated from Cheltenham High School 2004. His family didnt even know taub was in afghanistan because they say he didnt want them to worry. Taub had been in the service for eight years and had recently reenlisted for another four years and was supposed to come home in april. Real good personality. He was funny. He was thoughtful. He was a really good family man, you know, loved his wife and more i think more so he loved his daughter. The family friend created a go fund me site for todds pregnant wife and threeyearold daughter. Family friends and colleagues will say their final goodbyes today to the new jersey state trooper who was killed in a car crash. Funeral services will be held for trooper eli mccarson at the pfleeger concert hall at rowan university. He was killed when his car flood a utility pole on thursday of last week. Authorities say he was responding to a call when he crashed. Mccarson was just 30 years old. There are fresh signs of a budget break through in harrisburg. New this Morning Police are trying to figure out how a woman died after being arrested at a florida hospital. 57yearold Barbara Dawson went to the hospital on monday because she was having difficulty breathing. Doctors there was the dawson was stable and should be released. However, dawson felt like she was still having breathing issues and wanted to stay. Officers then arrested dawson for Disorderly Conduct and trespassing. Investigators say dawson collapsed while officers escorted her in handcuffs from the hospital. I said barbara, barbara. She still didnt respond. And i told them, i said yall done killed her. Now police say dawson was taken out of the handcuffs and brought back to the hospital after she he collapsed and that is where she and she still had a pulse and was breathing at the time. Dawson died shortly after being returned to the hospital. Philadelphia police are searching for a pizza shop robber who made quite an impression he grabbed the cash but walked out the door with an odd but friendly word for his market he told the cashier be safe out there. The robbery happened yesterday at the Little Caesars on the 7100 block of ogontz avenue in west oak lane. Police say the man grabbed 250 after handing the clerk a note.
