Breaking right now, a fast moving fire breaks out in a philadelphia home forcing a woman and a teen to make a daring escape. Flames were shooting from the upper floors of the home along the 7800 block of mitchner avenue in West Oak Lane at 3 30 a. M. When firefighters arrived they found a woman in her 30s with a head injury lying on the ground. A 17yearold girl was also hurt. Crews say they both jumped from a second floor window. Our Annie Mccormick is on the scene. Well have a live update in our next half hour. About a half hour after that fire, a family escaped a blaze that tore through a home in the citys mantua section. Intense flames consumed most of the structure at wallace and north 37th street. No one was hurt here. Fire officials are trying to figure out what sparked that fire. We have new information about a deadly stabbing in collingswood camden county. A husband and wife got into a heated fight and by time it was over she was dead and he was seriously injured. Reporter thats right, tam, three children were inside this apartment when this all unfolded. A woman stabbed multiple times and pronounced dead on the scene. Her husband had multiple stab wounds and according to authorities, they appear to have been self inflicted. Police were called here last night around 8 oclock to the building c of the heights of collingswood complex. Its right off white horse pike. The woman who was in her 30s was found in her bedroom stabbed multiple times and she was pronounced dead by arriving authorities. Her husband also in his 30s had multiple stab wounds and authorities think his wounds were self inflicted. He was rushed to Cooper University hospital in Critical Condition and underwent surgery overnight. Again, Authorities Say three children were there in the apartment when this happened. No injuries to them were reported. Were hearing this couple recently moved here to this apartment complex. What exactly led up to last nights incident remains under investigation this morning. And new this morning gunfire left a young woman wounded who was walking back to her home in the city of chester late last night. The action cam was at tenth and upland streets where police were searching an overgrown lot for clues. Earlier in the day gunfire injured a child about a mile away. Shell casings were scattered across the tell hundred block of west ninth street in chester. Police say one of the bullets struck a sixyearold boy in the finger. The childs mother says a man started shooting in the direction of her son who was outside his home playing with other children. No one else was hit. A camden man will be in court today accused of a despicable crime beating his girlfriends twoyearold son to death. Hes charged with beating the child inside a home in pennsauken on saturday night. The toddlers mother called 911 and mentioned her boyfriend in that call. In terms of tropical depression fiona looks like its going to degenerate into a straight low Pressure Center and miss bermuda. Well see if any moisture makes it to the eastern united states. If hermione forms it looks like this could be a tropical system that goes near the turks, maybe the bahamas and maybe miami next week. Thats something to look out for. The keys might also be affected. Tropical storm gaston does look like it will become a category one hurricane. The indications are to bring it up to the east of bermuda and to just cut up into the central atlantic which is a flies way for hurricanes to behave. Hopefully thats the way that works out.
