Erin ohearn joins us live at the big board with details on this. Erin. Matt as you know as a parent there are very strict rules about peanut products in schools. Youll often see the nut free zone signs in front of doors of preschools Nursery Schools even some elementary schools. And in recent years parents have been told to avoid exposing their children to nut products until they were about two or three years old. But new Scientific Research is reversing that thinking suggesting the earlier you expose your child to peanuts the less chance they will develop an allergy. It is being called a break through on peanut allergies in the medical community is now telling families they can slash their childs risk of developing an allergy by 80 percent if they introduce nut based foods like peanut snack puffs to babies. If your child already has Food Allergies or they run in your family they need to get skin tested before you introduce peanuts but for every other child you want to make sure when you start them on solid foods they get a wide variety. Stopping these foods not exposing them to them could be the biggest risk of all. That was an important point. If you have allergies in your family you should check with your doctor but this new Research Clearly a game changer. Millions of americans have this potentially lifethreatening allergy so the news that taking this early exposure approach could cut that allergy risk by 80 percent is very encouraging. Matt, back to you. Thanks so much erin. Now if fewer funds for federal agencies means fewer audits. Maribel aber is live. Reporter your chances of favoring an irs audit are falling. As we we are looking at a bright start today. Unfortunately it is also cold. We are down to 8 degrees in philadelphia. Eight in wilmington. Three below zero in allentown. One below in reading, 1 degree on the nose in trenton and 10 degrees in dover and we have set a couple of records this morning already. Including in allentown and reading. Boy, its been a cold brutal stretch, hasnt it . For the last 12 days in philadelphia weve averaged 16. 6 degrees below average and this, this morning marks the sixth morning out of the last 12 where weve started out in Single Digits in terms of your low temperatures. So, i guess were getting used to this or maybe were not but we have been dealing with it for quite awhile. As we take a look at the sunshine on the way over the horizon you can see a lack of significant cloud cover so get the sunglasses ready on i95, the pa turnpike and all of your other highways and by ways through the morning and afternoon a couple of more clouds may try to filter in and well probably wind up with partly sunny skies later today. In allentown a high of 18 degrees, partly sunny still cold. Wind chills probably in the Single Digits even though the winds arent all that strong today up in allentown. At the shore a high of 28 degrees, partly sunny still cold there as well with wind chills in the teens this afternoon. Again, winds a lot less than yesterday. And then tomorrow you you can kiss goodbye to the 20s for one day. We have a cold front coming in and a southerly flow ahead of it will increase our highs tomorrow into the mid 30s in most spots. There might be a little flurry around as this front passes through but by thursday were on the other side of the front and we are back into the 20s. Your exclusive accuweather 7day forecast, todays high 24. And then tomorrow clouds and sun, 35. Slight chance of a popup flurry. I think most of us stay dry. And then back to the 20s on both thursday and friday. If you can make it to the weekend, though, things get a little bit better. Were up closer to the freezing mark on saturday with lots of sun. But then sunday, yeah, clouds will increase but it looks like its dry during the day and we get all the way up to 48 degrees like last sunday its going to be a nice afternoon to take a walk or do something outside. At night rain will arrive. That will continue into monday morning. Might be a little wet snow or sleet mixed in at times. Thanks, david. More stories you didnt see last night. Yeah, we saw the entire building encased in ice the last time we had a fire location with temperatures like these. So, you need to be careful as you are headed out. Hopefully the firefighters are stepping cautiously because you know its turning to ice through the region. This is front street between dauphin and york street and you can see the billowing smoke coming out of this location here. They had the area blocked off with a number of fire crews on the scene. You could stick to second or third street as your alternate but this is also affecting the market frankford line because its now shuttle busing between huntington and berks station because of this fire location so it is impacting your traffic on the roads but then again also with the rails so a lot happening right now. Here weve got an accident involving an overturned vehicle. Traffic is kind of moving off to the right side right now. As the sun inches its way up the horizon were getting a better look at whats going on with this major fire thats burning in the kensington section of philadelphia. Its a store, a the least part of this building is a retail store which is on the first floor. Its on the 2300 block of front street and weve been mentioning the fact that the temperatures are really low and you remember what happened last week at that West Philadelphia location when the entire building became encased in ice. Right now the firefighters priority is to put this fire out right now. That is what theyre doing but it is really burning and smoke is really reaching into the skies. Certainly a lot of people in that neighborhood can smell it and probably see it as they wake up this morning. Thats an incredible amount of smoke. And thats also causing shuttle busing on the market frankford line so its affecting the roads and the rails i want to take you back to this big traffic story an accident involving an overturned vehicle as we have this close up view. You can see weve got a tow truck now on the scene, smoke coming out of the vehicle here, a nasty accident. Looks like a single vehicle accident, one vehicle right here. There are a few other vehicles up ahead on the right. Now, they were letting the right lane get by. Right now we can see as we look closely theyre just kind of getting by on the shoulder right there. So, thats the 30 bypass westbound slowing past the scene here at business route 30. Eastbound you have a gaper delay and thats slowing you down as well. Just stick to business route 30 instead and yet
