Really through the area we have at least reduced visibility so be careful as youre traveling. Youve got wet leaves, reduced visibility and rain. At least were on the mild side. 50 degrees already. Weve already surpassed yesterdays high. 39 in allentown. Even well above freezing in mount pocono. 37 degrees. So, temperatures are rising today and tomorrow. Heres what you can expect. By 8 00 a. M. , on and off rain, 51 degrees for your high. By noon, 53. By 3 00 p. M. , 55 with still rain through the area, heavy at times. By 6 00 p. M. , 56 degrees and the late evening and nighttime hours, we get a lull in the rain but it comes right back for tomorrow. So, details on two days worth of rain coming up in the sevenday forecast. So, when things are going south, you know that probably hopefully before too long theyll turn around and thats whats happened here in northeast philadelphia. They just reopened the ramp from woodhaven road eastbound to 95 southbound. You can see the flares pushed off to the side. We had a jackknifed tractortrailer on this ramp about an hour or so ago that blocked the ramp for awhile. The ramp just reopened with traffic getting by on it headed to 95 southbound. So, thats some relief in northeast philadelphia. Once you get to 95, this is the scene approaching the work zone at cottman avenue. A gathering crowd here and southbound near girard again the roadways are wet. There is fog in spots. Definitely not ideal conditions for this morning commute. Already weve seen a bunch of accidents. A couple in Chester County one in parkesburg along route 10 southbound past sadsbury road. Sounds like a bad one. I would stay over on old wilmington road to get around that and in east nottingham a downed pole from last night shutting down a short stretch of Baltimore Pike. Barnsley road or even the route one oxford bypass are some alternates there. Getting word of a new crash in Harrison Township Gloucester County right on the ramp from 55 southbound to 322 and already you see a little bit of slowing in that neck of the woods. Weve had problems on a lot of our ramps this morning. If youre headed northbound on the new jersey turnpike out of Burlington County toward mercer county, watch out, were getting reports of a crash on the northbound new jersey turnpike between exit seven and eight. Watch out for some restrictions there. Our good buddy ben, the ben franklin bridge shrouded in fog this morning but so far traffic on it is moving okay. Matt. Thank you, matt. Developing overnight, more gun violence in a philadelphia neighborhood. In this case bullets struck a man and several cars along the street. Action News Reporter Katherine Scott is lie at the 25th Police District in juniata park with the full story. Katherine. Reporter matt, nearly two dozen shots were fired. They hit a man. They hit several nearby cars. That 21yearold man was taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition. Now, Philadelphia Police detectives here at the east division they continue to investigate this case. This happened just before 1 30 this morning in north philadelphia on the 2900 block of north fourth street. Police say the man was shot several times and rushed to Temple University hospital again in critical but stable condition. Investigators were on the scene gathering evidence and they did recover 21 spender shell casings. Three nearby cars were hit by the gunfire. A short time after Police Arrived on the scene an officer assist went out over police radio. Several people were seen getting into a police vehicle. At least one of them was taken into custody at the crime scene for disturbing the police. A rifle was recovered but police havent yet said how its related to this investigation but police want to hear from you if you have any tips. New this Morning Police in Galloway Township new jersey say they caught a man with cash that he had stolen out of a car. Aaron keiser golf is accused of stealing 1,100, stealing the cash out of a vehicle parked outside of a Family Dollar on new york road yesterday. The Victim Told Police he caught keiser golf rummaging through his car. Keiser golf ran off but was later arrested. Kathleen kane has heard the chorus loud and clear. Today shell announce a team of special prosecutors to investigate porn gate and other lewd emails she says were exchanged between prosecutors, judges and others inside government. Kane will hold a News Conference at the National Constitution center. In a statement kane said after the sources of the emails are identified she will outline the powers the especially prosecutors will have to identify any criminal, civil or ethic violations. Since last month kane has continued on as attorney general on a suspended law license delegating her responsibilities to top deputies. Kane is facing perjury charges and nearly a dozen misdemeanors stemming from a leak of grand jury material to a local paper p. Matt. Thank you erin. Former city officials from both allentown and reading have pleaded guilty to federal corruption charges. It stets stems from fbi raids at both city halls. 48yearold dale wild steered a city contract to a campaign done nor for allentown mayor ed pawlowski instead of a top applicant. 35yearold aaron lloyd admited to taking part in a similar scheme in reading designed to reward the donors of mayor vaughn spencer. At 6 30 you can see rain through part of the area as youre driving through your evening commute. Then late evening into the nighttime hours just a little bit of a lull. The good news is by this afternoon our two new ramps at the trooper road interchange with 422 should be opening. Thats something exciting if you use trooper road to get to 422 or 422 to get to trooper new options for you starting this afternoon but before that plenty of slowing along 422. And that is certainly where the good news ends. Weve got this bad crash this morning in parkesburg Chester County along route 10. The southbound side past sadsbury road. I would stay over on old wilmington road to get around that. Elsewhere in east nottingham Chester County they still have Baltimore Pike blocked because of a downed pole from last night. Meanwhile we had that jackknifed tractortrailer that was blocking the ramp from woodhaven road to 95 southbound in northeast philadelphia. The truck is now gone. The bad news is all those people that wanted to get to 95 southbound were forced i dont and to 95 northbound where now speeds are in the 20s because everybody was going up to street road to flip around so youre seeing a northbound delay headed towards street road. Crossing into new jersey, reports of a crash on the turnpike northbound past exit seven. Watch out for emergency crews there. In shamong by the Shamong Diner we have a downed tree along 206 blocking it near willow grove road. 541 stokes road gets you around that local blockage and elsewhere in moorestown Burlington County the Tree Trimmers are coming to new albany road today near Church Street from 9 00 until 3 00. Authorities say katherine lamanski posted the picture under an alias account saying they duct taped the dogs mouth because it parked too much. Police were inundated with calls in florida. After some investigating it was determined that she lives in north carolina. Authorities there did not confiscate the dog because they say it wasnt injured or malnourished. Happening today, the mayor of chicago will announce the creation of a task force on police accountability. New this morning investigators have identified what may have led to the crash of an air asia plane last year. The National Transportation Safety Committee says analysis of flight 8501s data recorder shows the plane had problems with its rudder control system while flying on december 28.
