Now, i talked to police in Montgomery County and they told me about this problem theyre responding to right now. Its a pole that caught on fire so an electrical fire situation. Theyre waiting for peco to come and help them out. In the meantime they have crews on the scene and they had to shut town bethlehem pike between highland avenue and wise avenue. They shut down wise also. So a number of areas blocked off because of this electrical fire happening right now and you can stick to 309 as your alternate for that one. They told me but a problem where a downed tree branch here on pine road at philmont avenue and weve got a new problem in cheltenham. Annie mccormick is live at the scene in the 1300 block of South Broad Street. Good morning, annie. Reporter good morning, tamala. That one firefighter was taken to the hospital. He did suffer smoke inhalation and is in stable condition. You can see behind me they are making a lot of progress wrapping up this scene right now. Theyve end up a portion of broad street but now still broad and wharton is closed down but one building along this street on the righthand side you can see just a shell of what is left behind of that home. We are told that that is where the fire broke out. They described this as a twohour fire fight. Take a look at this video. The second alarm fire broke out just before 1 10 in the 1300 block of South Broad Street. Now, when crews arrived they saw heavy fire showing from the second and third floors of the threestory row home. Now, neighbors reported they saw a tree sparking near wires in the rear of the property. Residents say a passerby saw the flames and his honking and screaming is what alerted neighbors. They say Mother Nature did not help crews. When i first looked up it was only like a little bit of fire and then we came outer and it just like it went up and then the roof was on fire and there was lightning. Now, in that home where the fire broke out its a threestory row home, fire commissioner at the time when we spoke to him wasnt able to tell us how many tenants are in that home but he said at least one person he knows was inside. Also breaking this morning a fast moving fire forced a family of four out of their south jersey home overnight. This happened along the 400 block of windrow clusters drive. Investigators are looking into the possibility that the cause was weather related. As we head outside we have sunshine a plenty coming up over the Commodore Barry bridge in chester pennsylvania looking upriver towards philadelphia camden and gloucester counties and unfortunately still a little bit humid out there for now. Temperatures dipped to 79 in philadelphia. The dewpoint is still at 71. Its starting to come down a little bit. But for now still feeling pretty oppressive out there. The winds have turned out of the west and thats going to be a good source region for us bringing in drier air and lowering that number making it feel less humid later in the day. Overnight we had some showers and thunderstorms. Watch box for awhile last night, thats now gone. There are those showers that continue to erode out to our north and west and as we plan our day, well, plan on it starting out sticky and warm with that temperature of 79 by 8 oclock and 82 by 10 oclock. But as we go into the afternoon, especially from about philadelphia all the way up through the Lehigh Valley and poconos, you will see the humidity levels drop with that drier air coming in. By 3 oclock, it will still be hot in philadelphia with a high of 92 but dewpoints somewhere in the low to mid 60s rather than the 70s so not as oppressively humid.
