David still concerns with coastal flooding. Reporter there are, theres some degree of flooding but not as bad as it was looking on the National Hurricane forecast. The center of hermine while still churning up the coast, its farther away from us, while its making the track closer, it will not come as close and not strong as a storm. Lets take a look at that, heres what to expect. Waves right now not this bad, but later today and tonight will build back to 8 to 12 feet. Dangerous rip currents and rough surf an issue, you will be advised to stay out of the water today. Beach erosion is par for the course with any long range storm off the coast and coastal flooding at times of high tide today and tonight. It will be moderate in most cases. Wave heights are down a little bit from this time yesterday, but will build later on. The wind gusts are 18mile an hour in the mouth of delaware bay. They will rise as the day goes on. Well see lots of sunshine for most of the region, you can see the clouds pulling in as we see hermine although a few hundred miles off the coast, it is impacting us with cloud cover and interior parts of south jersey, looking for that. At the shore, 76 for the high, windy at times, sunshine, a shower possible. In the city, bright sunshine staying dry, a nice high of 85 degrees, feeling warm this afternoon. Reporter starting the school bus in a few spots tomorrow, this morning were not seeing school buses or trucks or cars along the schuylkill expressway. Its nice and quiet where the schuylkill expressway meets up with route 1 the boulevard, no problems on 76, i95 the boulevard or the vine so far this morning. Reporter nydia and gray, im hearing the waves crash all morning, now that the light is coming up, were getting our first look at the ocean. About a dozen people walked down because they wanted to see the big waves. As they walk on the beach they see signs from yesterday saying danger the ocean is closed. The beaches looked beautiful sunday, but heavy winds and powerful currents made it a rough beach day. Beaches were open in Wildwood Crest, but bathers couldnt go in more than knee deep. Many towns prohibited people from going in the water, in Atlantic City, a Good Samaritan helped a young man who got cuts from the rocks. Youre not going back in, right . No, im done. Reporter they did not go into the water, they came down to see the storm, they were surprised to see a picture perfect day. We came down to see how the weather was, wanted to see the storm. Reporter disappointed . A little disappointed, but happy nobody is getting hurt. Its beautiful to watch the ocean from the land, maybe not getting into the water. Now each shore town that youre in, you have to listen to your beach patrol. We expect a number of them will have the same restrictions they had up yesterday, as well. Jennette what are Police Telling you . Reporter nydia, this is the kind of of story that left people in shock. Police are not releasing details. We know that it happened around 8 30 p. M. Philadelphia police say the man intentionally ran over this woman slammed into a tree and got out of his car and grabbed a shovel and beat her to death. This happened along the 700 block of west loudon street. Responding officers arrested the man. He is in custody right now. The woman was in her 30s, taken to einstein where she was pronounced dead an hour later. Police are not releasing details especially regarding the rip, if any the man had with the woman. A 30yearold man was stabbed to death after walking out of a West Philadelphia lounge. He was attacked outside el toros on westminster avenue.
