About a dozen people walked down because they wanted to see the big waves. As they walk on the beach they see signs from yesterday saying danger the ocean is closed. The beaches looked beautiful sunday, but heavy winds and powerful currents made it a rough beach day. Beaches were open in Wildwood Crest, but bathers couldnt go in more than knee deep. Many towns prohibited people from going in the water, in Atlantic City, a Good Samaritan helped a young man who got cuts from the rocks. Youre not going back in, right . No, im done. Philadelphia police say the man intentionally ran over this woman slammed into a tree and got out of his car and grabbed a shovel and beat her to death. This happened along the 700 block of west loudon street. Responding officers arrested the man. He is in custody right now. The woman was in her 30s, taken to einstein where she was pronounced dead an hour later. Police are not releasing details especially regarding the rip, if any the man had with the woman.
