On purpose at a local apartment building. We are back on the scene where reads are on edge. And a black bear was spotted in berks county. But the big story is the search for a driver that killed a local High School Student in a hit and run. Police say the person was driving a stolen car when he or she ran into the victivictim. It happened in the hunting park section of philadelphia. Annie mccormick is live from the scene. Reporter the teenager worked at the body shop behind me and was ending his shift when he was getting into a vehicle when he was struck and killed by a driver. It was all caught on surveillance video. This is heavy. He walked us through the violence of last nights hit and run. As an employee, 18yearold kevin walked northbound in a southbound lane to enter the passenger side of the flap bed truck. The striking vehicle hit the teen catapulting him 50 feet in the air. They said he die . Multiple 911 call flood the district and the teen died of multiple head trauma. And two blocks away, police found this smashed up white prius caught on tape as the striking vehicle. Witnesses say the driver fled on foot and that the car was stole ebb. They described a female has the person that normally drives the vehicle. We dont know who was driving the vehicle at the time of the accidents. But we are looking for this female, we are pretty confident we will find her. He dated his daughter and worked at the body shop after school and this morning they left candled where the teen died and they fought back tears and thought about the hard working and quiet young man. I think of him like a son. He is in my heart. You lost a piece of your heart yesterday . Yes. And behind me you can see where the memorial is now growing since they started putting candles there earlier this morning. Investigators are back here now at the auto body shop. They are looking for a female and they do not know whether or not if the female was actually behind the wheel. They are questioning her to get more information. Chopper 6 hd is over Center City Philadelphia where there was a pretty big water main break a moment ago. This is 18th and arch. You can see there there is crews on the scene and we believe that the water has stopped gushing out of the ground here at 18th and arch. If you take a look we have a picture that came to us via twitter and it shows the water there gushing out of the roadway here at 18th and arch. I believe that is welsh church there and the area where the new comcast tower is being constructed as well. Quite a large water main break at the time. If we go back to chopper 6 hd it appears that the water has stopped gushing in this area. We have an alert as well from septa. Septa telling us that all Regional Rail lines traveling through center city now may experience delays due to that water main break at 18th and jfk boulevard. So the area of 18th and jfk boulevard and arch. And impacting the tracks at suburban station. That looks like the area of the new comcast tower. At 18th and arch and jfk boulevard. It appeared to us to be a large water main break. Well monitor it here on air and online at 6abc. Com. All right in other news now. Philadelphias new fire commissioner is vowing to find the person responsible for a series of fires at a senior facility in german town. Four fires are started at the hamill Mill Apartments in recent months. The latest broke out last night. Investigators believe the fires were intensionally set. Authorities have identified a suspect behind a murdersuicide in ucla and they said he had a kill list as well. They said he gunned down Mechanical Engineering professor in an office yesterday. He was a married father of two and a kind gentle person and he was a former student of his and they are focusing on his grades and that he had a kill list including a woman found dead in minneapolis.
