Good afternoon sara bloomquist is off. We begin with breaking news out of new jersey. A federal jury announced the verdict in the bridge gate trial. Both defendants are guilty on all counts. Two allies of Chris Christie, were both convicted in a politically motivated plot to cause traffic around the George Washington bridge. Trying to punish a democratic mayor for not endorsing governor christie. The defendants will learn their sentences in february. Governor christie denied all wrong doing. We are following the investigation into a house fire that left two small children in Critical Condition in the olney section of philadelphia. Gray hall is live at the scene with updates on the young victims. Reporter rick, the last information from the fire commissioner where the kids were in Critical Condition but improving. So the extent of their injuries at this point is not clear, we tell that you people in this neighborhood are hoping for a speedy recovery. An overnight nightmare for the Family Living in this olney home, initial reports say two children a 7monthold and 11yearold were rushed to the hospital. Its always a tragedy when something happens to anybody but especially to children. I saw them bringing out the two kids and i started screaming, i was hysterical. Right here in front of the house they were giving cpr to the baby in pampers. When firefighter as arrive there was heavy flames coming from the upper floors of the home. They eventually located the small children inside. Its all difficult to loebt people inside of a burning building, despite what you see on television, there is a lot of smoke in there and the smoke is down to the floor and you literally can see nothing. Its a challenge to locate people in these buildings. The investigation is in early stages and there is Unanswered Questions about the fire. Medics informed cpr on the young victims, they were rushed to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation. It was a horrible scene. I dont know what happened with the kids, we have heard nothing about the kids. Hopefully, praying to god they will be fine. Reporter back out live, everyone hoping for the best. The cause of this fire is still under investigation, not clear in this home had any working smoke detectors, what is also not clear who was inside of this house if anybody at the time of the fire with these young kids, we are working to get you more information. Gray hall, channel 6 action news. Thank you. The septa strike is now in its fourth day. And talks are continuing between the Transit Agency and the union workers. And concern over the labor dispute is getting more concerning as we get closer to election day next week. John rawlins, joins us live from center city. Reporter at the risk of sounding like a broken record, the two of sides continue to negotiate and back and forth and give and take, given that there is no sign of a break through. Despite yesterdays barbed rhetoric the talks will progressing, slowly but progressing. They say all the meaningful communications are from third parties and much of the day a state mediator is joined by state representative dwight evans. They made the montgomery that there is no outside money coming from city hall to help enhance a settlement. And there were reports that they would go to Common Pleas Court to get an unjunction to get the employees back to work by election day. Commuters that depend on City Transport muddle through on day four we wait to see what mediators can do to get this strike settled. Thank you john. I walk here 20 to 25 minutes to the train here. When i get off i walk four blocks to work. My feet hurt and i soak them every night. I had to call off the first couple of days, because i had no idea how i would get to work. I depend on the l to get to work, there was no way i was driving in. Along with long walks and missed days at work, commuters say that the Regional Rail trains are so crowded its tough to find a seat. Sustained winds 16 Miles Per Hour in allentown, 20 in philadelphia, and 20 Miles Per Hour in dover and we are finding some higher gusts across the region especially with the northwesterly wind going through the rest of our day. As we look at our evening commute. For the ride home, 4 00 p. M. 61 and 59 at 5 00 p. M. And upper 60s at 6 00 underneath a mostly sunny skies and mostly clear with a temperature coming in at 54. The Investigation Continues into possible voter fraud at a grass roots organization. This morning a hearing took place on the matter at Delaware County courthouse in media. They raided both the philadelphia offices and Delaware County offices of fieldworks llc. They are looking into 7,000 registrations whether they were fabricated or submitted by the deadline. They say they are cooperating with police and have zero tolerance for fraud. Now candidates are investing a lot of time in pennsylvania until election day. Donald trump has a rally at the giant center in hershey tonight and Hillary Clinton is in pittsburgh today and returns to philadelphia tomorrow for a concert with katy perry in Fairmount Park and will be back on monday night for a final rally with bill clinton along with the president and first lady, michelle obama. On the backside we have High Pressure that is still of the ohio valley and we are tapping into the northwesterly wind and that is cooling us down getting us close to where we should be for this time of year. Here is the setup. Seasonably cool. Yesterday a High Temperature of 72, today we max out at1 in the city and again tracking the gusts up to 30 Miles Per Hour. As we get into the start of the weekend on saturday, still plenty of sunshine High Temperature in the lower 60s but we have less wind to deal with as we get foo the day for our weekend.
