The man was suspected in an Armed Robbery and attempted Armed Robbery yesterday morning. Annie mccormick has the details. Reporter Delaware State Police on the scene in claymont at harvey road and garfield avenue where a Police Pursuit ended with this corolla crashed and the suspect shot and transported to Christian Hospital where he later died. He died in prison four years ago, correll brings him back to life. Dupont shot and killed dave shultz on his fox catcher estate in newtown square. Shultz and his brother mark lived on the estate along with others training for the olympics. Its a film director Bennett Miller was trying to make for 8 years. It was something i wanted to do, these characters were so bizarre. Reporter his lawyer said he often spoke to him three times a day. I said is john okay . She said no, they are saying that he shot dave. I said what . Reporter a two day stand off followed with dupont bar indicated inside, police tackled when he emerged to check on a furnace to shut off. Many witnessed his bizarre behavior in the years leading up to the murder. They tried to get him help, but he disappeared every time they set up an appointment. He said they never thought it would end with murder. Im not sure that i or anyone else would put pieces together and say this is a program for a killing. Nobody saw that.
