A limited state of emergency is in place in sussex county, home to Rehoboth Beach and dewey beach. Well have live reports throughout the morning. Well begin with david murphy and chris sowers looks like it will hang around a while. Reporter the center of the storm is 250 miles off the coast of Atlantic City. This is where the center of the storm was 6 hours ago, its here. Its drifting farther away from the coastline. It is expected to hook back in tomorrow, as of today, the farther track is affecting us in a positive way. First of all well see the clouds break up. Rain is off the coast, we have additional rain down to the south of us, Storm Tracker 6 live double scan thats the only rain you see in sight. Its light and holding its ground down near baltimore, it may drift to the south. Today will be rainfree with a mix of clouds and sun. The big issue down the shore even the slight change in the track today, has not changed at all. We see the wave heights rolling in across the shore. 9 feet on lbi. 8 feet ocean city, it gets better south toward cape may and Rehoboth Beach with 6foot waves thats enough to turn up the beach breakers we have heavy surf and they will not want you to go into the water today. We have wind gusts coming in off the ocean at 28 Miles Per Hour. That will tend to build as we go through the day, the situation with coastal flooding pretty much the same. We have moderate to moderate coastal frugd this flooding s morning and it will be bad later tonight. The situation at the coast has not changed, youre looking at the potential for flooding. It doesnt look like it will get out of here until tuesday morning, wednesday, and thursday, it starts to pull away south the canadian maritimes. Its the hook toward the left that were concerned about, could bring about dangerous flooding especially sunday night into monday morning. What youre looking at are wave heights, we are expecting waves ten to 15 feet within the greenish yellow band off the shore sunday night. Along with that band of wave activity comes the storm surge. That officer is here at atlanticare in critical condition. Meanwhile, a day long manhunt came to an end when Police Arrested two Cumberland County men. When these three men walked past this nightclub surveillance camera they had no idea they were being robbed. Two Atlantic City Police Officers saw the robbery and approached one of the three alleged robbers fired at an officer critically wounding him the another officer fired back killing is one of the suspects. The other fled. The officer was taken to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center and underwent surgery. Meanwhile, the detectives arrested one in bridgeton and one in camden. Records show he served time in prison. Loved ones say he didnt carry a gun. I do know my son is dead, i want some answers. The Prosecutors Office has nod said which of the suspects fired the gun, the two face a whole host of charges including murder.
