and south jersey we're picking up steadier rains this morning, cherry hill into philadelphia, mount laurel seeing moderate rainfall this morning. everybody else seeing just those lighter shades of green which is probably mores a drizzle at this point. temperatures are on the mild side. one thing about the weather pattern, it suits the daytime temperatures fairly chilly. normally we should be around 70 degrees and we're in the 50s. it keeps the nighttime lows in the 50s. we'll see peeks of sunshine, showers this morning, some sun peeking through later on, 1:00 p.m., 60 degrees, 3:00 p.m., 62. and 5:00 p.m., 64 that's the forecasted high today, 64 degrees. there can still be a shower or two later on in the afternoon hours. nothing heavy. as we start the workweek, sunshine returns, comfortable temperatures, it will feel like the end of spring first part of the summer, highs in the mid 70s, there's a chance one or two days could get warmer than that, depending on how much sunshine we see. when i come back in just a few minutes we'll focus on the good changes in the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. gray? all right, chris, thank you. an update to the norristown apartment building fire. the fire chief has confirmed that there are three fatalities in the fire, two adults and one child indict as a result of the fire on -- died as a result of the fire on dekalb and oak street. 6 others were injured and taken to multiple hospitals. one child was transported to children's hospital of philadelphia. crews saw flames on the first floor when they arrived at the three story twin home. we had heavy fire visible on the first floor, heavy smoke from the second and third floor. fire extended to the upper floors of the dwelling. the fire station is a block away, you get here it's a lot of chaos. that fire is now under control, but as the chief said it was a chaotic scene when the firefighters first arrived. one man used his cell phoe to capture the first moments when neighbors noticed something had gone terrible wrong on dekalb street. you can find more at 6abc.com. 7:03. new information to tell you about this morning, two men are in the hospital after being stabbed behind a northeast philadelphia strip mall. it happened in the 6200 block of bustleton avenue. you know one man was stabbed in the back, the other man in the hand. police say both victims are in their 30s. so far no arrests have been made. investigators are sorting out a motive. today philadelphia will stay goodbye to former police commissioner, willie williams, richard ross led a procession of hundreds ever men and women of blue boo baker funeral home -- in blue into baker funeral home in north philadelphia. they paid their respects to the first african-american police commissioner. it was the first of two public viewings of williams who died last week at the age of 72. a second viewing will be held at zion baptist church funeral services follow. we turn to politics, presumptive gop nom -- nominee, donald trump arrives in oregon and washington state. bob dole was among the latest to endorse him while others say they will not. hillary clinton focused on trump during a rally in oakland, california. she claimed trump does not care about equal pay for women because she said he does not think much of women. clinton's challenger, bernie sanders plans to take his battle for the candidacy to the convention in philadelphia. he is heading to new jersey for several events. tomorrow he holds a rally at rutgers university before heading to atlantic city on monday. mitt romeny is considering a third-party candidate to take on donald trump. romney met with conservative columnist william kristol to take on a challenger to take on trump in november. romney will not be running, he called trump a fraud. remains of a u.s. navy seal killed in iraq are heading home to california. charles keating the iv arrived at dover air force base yesterday. his family and fiance was there to meet him. keating was shot and killed tuesday during a gun battle with isis fighters. keating is the third u.s. service member to be killed in combat in iraq since 2004. a local tuskegee airman has been posthumously honored for his dedication to our country. brandon boil met with the family -- boyle met with the family. she tells "action news" she wanted her children to have something to recognize her father's service. it's so important to honor them, weapon don't have so many -- because we don't have so many heros for people to look to, this is something everyone should become aware of. to thomas pitts was a mem. fighter group and bombardment group. it was love at first sight for a girl and puppy last night. 17-year-old amanda met her new dog jagger at the philadelphia airport, amanda is living with end stage kidney disease and jacker is her wish come true. she wanted a pug and found this one in florida and decided they were meant to be together. the make a wish foundation flew jagger in and as you can see amanda and her new pug make the perfect pair. the phillies head to my affirm me hoping to regain their momentum. we'll introduce you to the teen who picks up had your college diploma a day before attending her high school graduation. we'll explain how this happened. >> reporter: we have showers and downpours this morning right over philadelphia, but the sun will come out tomorrow, it will feel better when this pattern moves away. delaware and lehigh details come exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast next. at giant, shoppers low prices by the thousands, plus a thousand more that just dropped. all these low prices! what are you trying to do, get me to feed the whole neighborhood? warning it's an aadvisery. it's been lower and there will be flooding issues down there. upper 40s north and west, 351 in atlantic city. cape may, 52. 49 in trenton and dover, 51. this low sits and goes round and round andy -- and round, it's not moving, because the jet stream is up to the north. the good news it will drop to the south, about five days ago, we had that upper level low right here the southern provinces of canada, dropped into the mid atlantic and the jet stream retreated north an left it behind. that's why it was gray and gloomy, we saw the onshore winds and chilly temperatures. the jet stream will return with a cold front and knock everything out to sea and clear us out as we get into mother's day. mother's day looks better, sunshine by afternoon, temperatures pattern. the jet stream looked like, it looks like the greek letter omega, high pressure across the mid atlantic states, another block has developed this past week. this time we're in the bad sector and the jet stream looks like this. the good weather is here all the bad weather with the upper level low is over top of the philadelphia area. it's having a difficult time breaking down. as we get into tomorrow, a cold front will put an end to the pattern as the sweeps across the high plains and great lake states and kicks the upper level low out to sea and we say goodbye and get rid of it and firefighters on the scene of the house fire. if you're looking at the screen you can see unit number 27 with the american flag draped over it, to the left of that is where the house fire started. we know this morning state and local police are investigating the fire that killed three people on the 800 block of dekalb street. we know two adults were found deceased in an apartment a child died at the hospital and another child was critically injured and five other adults were taken to the hospital. crews described the scene as chaotic, this is what one neighbor saw when the commotion brought him outside. i walk up and saw the building [inaudible]. of course, now begins the probe to find out what started the fire inside it is three story twin apartment buildings, officials believe it likely started on the first floor and spread to ther -- spread to the upper floor. "action news" crew is gathering more information on the breaking news, a live update is coming your way on "action news" at 9:00 a.m. first arriving crews did not hear any working smoke detecters, but that will be part of the final investigation. as we just mentioned an "action news" crew is gathering in fact on the developing story. as we follow the story we know that three individuals are dead, two adults and one child. we're tracking this for you all morning long and at 6abc.com. 7:33, new this morning, a man and woman were killed by a fire overnight inside a south philadelphia home. investigators say their deaths might have been preventible, flames ripped through a third floor bedroom on moore street. firefighters got the fire under control in 17 minutes, but when the smoke cleared they found a man in his 70s and woman in her 60s. this family had 6 smoke alarms and the batteries did not work. not one of them worked. >> reporter: the commissioner said clutter on the other floors would have made it difficult for the man and woman to escape the home. a two-day shooting spree that terrorized suburban washington, d.c. is over. police arrested the man whose suspected killings were personal and at times random. >> reporter: this video shows the dramatic moment when the suspected gunman was caught. eulalio tordil walks to his car and gets inside and police warm the vehicle and surrounded him argue him blocks from one of the crime scenes. four hours earlier at 11:15 a.m. with thousands of customers in stores at the montgomery mall. shots rang out. there was confrontation in the mall parking lot. >> reporter: a woman hit two men who tried to help her shot as well. all rushed to the hospital where one of the good samaritans later died. nordstrom rolled down their metal doors and on two sides and locked us in place. >> reporter: 11:50 a.m., ten miles away another fatal shooting, a woman gunned down near this giant supermarket. police suspect eulalio tordil shot and killed his estranged wife at a maryland high school thursday night as she was waiting for her children. eulalio tordil was placed on administrative leave stripped of his gun and badge after a civil court issued a protection order against him for alleged abuse of his wife. it brought back memories of the beltway sniper shootings 14 years ago. eulalio tordil ate lunch at the same we're seeing light to officially moderate rain. if you're traveling up to the northeast extension, it's a slow go, the roads are wet, there's a lot of ponding on the roads. take it easy, norristown, phoenixville seeing light to moderate rains. 64 degrees is the high temperature. it's still below average, but better than the 50s we've seen over the last several days. low temperatures, 50 degrees on the dot. philadelphia, 51. allentown, 52. dover, 52. cape may, 52 degrees, it's the same song and dance, the reason why the upper level low dropped in from canada three or four days and it became cut off from the main flow of traffic, this line stretching west to east. it will pick up this counter clockwise swirl this low will pick that up and push it out to sea and we'll see sunshine, as well. like a game of billiards it will bump the low and push it into the canadian maritimes and sunshine replaces all the gray and gloom we've seen in the delaware valley. the only downfall, the front gets so far as it stalls out to the south. as we get into the second part of next week it returns to the area in the form of a warm front that means more showers and thunderstorms from wednesday on. that's a long way off we'll talk about that in a few minutes. cloud cover through late morning, leftover showers, otherwise damp out there, lots of puddles on the roads and drizzle and things like that. this afternoon, peeks of sunshine, some areas could see a leftover shower. overnight tonight, cloudy, patchy fog, thing tomorrow morning, mother's day, with the approaching cold front it sweeps
