The storm is well out here, way out to sea. All the bands are out to sea, as well. Because of the counter clockwise rotation of the storm you can the winds are out of the north northwest, were seeing flooding down the jersey shore but not as bad as yesterday. Take a look at this image, this is from a tbirt twitter follower, this is patrick who is down at caesar. This is what it looked like. You can see the sun up here, the water is much more relaxed. These are 20foot waves breaking lots of flooding and the snow coming down. A much quieter scene this morning. Everything is starting to get back to normal. Its blustery and cold im sure you have a lot of work to do to get the snow off the sidewalks and drives ways. Lets bring in meteorologist david murphy. Reporter all right, chris we are on the terrace. The wind is a little bit of a factor, but its uncomfortable. Were at 23 in philadelphia. 20 in allentown. 19 in reading, 25 in millville. When you factor in the breeze which is kicking up into the teens a bit every now and then, it feels like 12 in the city and still a single digit windchill in wilmington and 2 in lancaster. If youre heading out to do shoveling or playing in the snow, bundle up. Remember the snow not only came down in buckets, but it drifted. So we have a lot of heavy stuff to get out of here. Go slow and takes breaks and avoid back strain especially on the heart. This can be tough on people with heart conditions or people who dont know they have heart conditions and you find out the hard way. If youre taking the dogs out, remember to protect their paws when you get back in from the walk, wash out salt from the walks because dogs can lick that and get sick from it. The chris mentioned things are better at the shore we have a coastal Flood Warning until noon. High tide past, and things are better at the shore. If youre heading out its cold, dress appropriately. Now to the latest on flooding at the jersey shore. High tide was at 7 30. Nora muchanic is live in ocean city, weve been watching and looks like were not expecting significant flooding like yesterday. Reporter its not supposed to be as bad as it was. High tide was an hour and a half ago. Its coming from the bay it is starting to build up a bit. Today is a different day, the sun is out, but its still cold. The flooding should be the last we get from the storm. We want to show you pics we got while driving around this morning with sun instead of snow and rain. You get a wide view of what its like moving through the streets in town through the water. Looks like were on a lake in a boat. Its only a couple of inches deep in spots. Others much deeper. The good news hopefully the flooding wont be as deep as yesterday. High tide not as bad as predicted. Having said that theres still water in the streets today. Shore towns all over there will be street flooding. Ocean city, everything is back to normal here, you can get up and down the streets. You will have street flooding in particular areas that will be here and a lot of other towns that are waiting for this bay water to come in and get out so everybody can begin to mop up. This is video of where we were earlier today. One of the parking lots of one of the Shopping Centers in the south white hall township area they are working hard using a special type of plow a heavy duty one to push the 32 inches through the parking lot. That gentleman who is running that tells me he has been working him and his 12man crew have been working since friday night. They have not slept yet.
