The friend says he was setting up a game that he bought and did not notice the girl was behind him in the yard when she ran into the road. No word on charges. Clayton police are man beaten ended up arresting that man and two others. Deputies found a man beaten up at a gas station unfamiliar church road. He was carrying drugs including ecstasy. Further investigation resulted in the arrest of Samuel Garcia and samantha weishiemer, also on drug charges. We have learnedextra security will be on hand for tonights game in Pinecrest High School in moore county. That is in response to recent shootings in the community. Reporter the Moore County School system sent out an email saying students, parents and faculty will all need to go through standup metal detectors tonight. Also,no bags will be allowed in the stadium area. Officials do not have any specific threats, they just want to make sure everyone is safe in light of recent violence. That includes the driveby shooting of a 12yearold girl Jalinda Campbell was shot one week ago today. A 3yearold was also shot but survived. A teenager is charged with murder and another man is charged in accessory after the fact. Police are looking for a gunman in a second driveby shooting. A man was shot in the leg in a yard on west illinois street where several people were gathered for a cookout. That man is supposed to be okay. There is a Memorial Service tomorrow for Jalinda Campbell at southern york primary school. Because of the slowdowns westbound away from raleigh out toward the airport, we are seeing heavy traffic on outbound wade avenue. Pretty slow from 440 out toward the i40 merge on the west side of raleigh. One trend in the past few clearing up pretty well. So that is improving and we will watch that traffic sort of ease on down toward us1 and wade avenue before it wraps up the morning commute in about 30 or 40 minutes or so. As we take a look at the number of crashes around the triangle, a number of minor accidents but nothing causing huge delays. We are picking up some additional delays on inbound creekmore wrote this morning because of an accident reported at lynn road and potentially a second accident at sawmill road. Michael slager is accused of shooting walter scott eight times after he fled a traffic stop. The shooting was captured by a bystander on cell phone video. Some of scotts family members took the stand including his son and fiance. Slager faces between 30 years and life in prison if a kenly Police Officer charged in the death of a suspect is off the job. A superior court judge ordered the state to revoke jesse santa forts lawenforcement certification of the man until the case is resolved. He is charged with Involuntary Manslaughter in the death of alexander thompson. Thompson died after a march chase that spanned two counties. He was shot with a stun gun and died a month later. The grandson of a Prominent Duke University donor is facing a rape cha this is after a yearlong investigation. Jeffrey yoh jr. Faces rape as well as assault by strangulation charges. According to documents obtained by wral, the assaults took place last year at an on campus apartment. The yoh name is a wellknown one at duk, spike yoh was a duke. Hunt high received bomb threats on september 29 and october 26 as well. Anyone with information about these threats should call police.
