Look at the wind in gaithersburg. Up to 56 Miles Per Hour. The highest i saw in this area. Wintergreen, the ski resort 65 Miles Per Hour there. But closer to home annandale 54 Miles Per Hour. So we did see some damage out there. We also saw power out ajs throughout the evening. Now starting to see those a little bit better. Hagerstown look at the wind chill, 5 degrees. Thats how it feels. 16 towards washington. Now, tomorrow morning the actual temperature will be around 21 degrees. It will be windy, it will be cold wind chills in the Single Digits to teens. Reporter firefighters secured the area while chris told me the wind is fierce. Pretty fast right now just standing out here with you. Reporter it was fast with wind gusts of 45 to 50 Miles Per Hour in some areas. On adams dreev in Silver Spring this tree fell in a yard and across the street from the Montgomery County courthouse. Police closed the street. Police are concerned Construction Materials on this building could fall. Back and forth, glen Chris Fischer has fallen emotionally. Im worried about the hole because i need to get a tarp or some kind of company out here to put something over it because its essentially like i have a convertible for a house. Patriots are safely back in boston tonight. Their flight landed at a snowy Logan Airport just after 7 00 had to do a threepoint turn to avoid mountains of snow in order to maneuver into a hangar. More than 6700 flights have been canceled the past two days because of this storm. Already there are more than 400 Flights Canceled for tomorrow. About a dozen of them out of national airport. Developing tonight, the man who had murder charges against him dropped just last month in the debt of Felicia Barnes hes been indicted again. Thats according to our affiliate tv station in baltimore. In january, a judge ruled there was insufficient evidence for a trial against michael johnson, but barnes father tells wbaltv that johnson will have to appear in court again. Barnes disappeared five years ago while visiting family in baltimore. Her body was later found in the susquehanna river. The d. C. Branch of the naacp is looking into the firings of teachers at Howard University middle school. Weve reported last week that parents at that Charter School say that three social studies teachers were terminated for teaching black history. The d. C. Council Education Committee is already investigating that incident. A local grandmother is demanding justice tonight after her granddaughter was hurt in a deadly hit and run. Julia pierce was injured, her fiance was run over and killed last night while trying to change a flat tire on the baltimorewashington parkway. Now both families are demanding justice. She got something in her leg and thigh and a brace on her neck. Reporter julia pierce is in a hospital where broken bones, but thats not the worst of what happened. Julia pierces fiance was killed when they were both struck by a hit and run driver. It was really bizarre what happened inside a d. C. Nightclub yesterday. A couple of guys in the club got involved in an argument when one of them pulled out a Samurai Sword and swung it at the other one. The man who was the victim in this case suffered cuts to his hands. All this happened at a club called the midtown on connecticut avenue yesterday. Police say the guy who did the swinging with the sword is named Michael Mineer raymond. He was arrested and has been charged with assault with intent to kill. New problems with emergency communication on metro have been fixed tonight. That according to the transit system. Over the weekend Montgomery County firefighters discovered that certain red line had nonexistent radio coverage in case of emergency. The problem was found to be isolated to parts of the wheaton station. Metro says the issue has now been fixed and that riders dont have anything to worry about. According to Prince Georges County schools last thursday a student punched the teacher at Forestville High School because of what the School District called a misinterpretation of a comment. That student is said to be facing disciplinary action. New tonight a virginia woman supported isis and then lied to the feds when she was questioned about it. Now she could spend up to eight years in prison. Heather kaufman pleaded guilty today and faces sentencing in may. The fbi says kaufman promoted the terror group on facebook and wanted her exhusband to fight with the group. When agents interviewed her last year she denied supporting isis. A new beginning for hundreds of employees at the Washington Navy yard. Today 400 people went back to work at building 197. Thats the place where 12 of their colleagues were killed in a shooting rampage back in 2013. That building has been renamed and renovated to help ease the transition and the pain of that day. A memorial now stands where the first person was shot. That memorial honors those who were killed that day. The building will be staffed with more than 3,000 people by april. A big boost in military spending. It could be one area where republicans and the president are able to reach an agreement on his 4 trillion budget proposal. The president is recommending an increase to the pentagons budget of by 38 billion. Also a surge in spending on roads and other infrastructure. I love it yeah. Not on windy days like today as much but you know love it. But for about 24 hours starting at 7 00 p. M. Tomorrow the convenient red bikes will be somewhat less convenient so that software can be upgraded. Updates on station and bike availability will not be generated for websites and mobile maps. New memberships and renewals wont be available on the website. Temporary users who pay by credit card often visitors to the district will not be able to do so at all. Members who actually have keys a month, a daily key or a year can rent bikes but they can only rent it from the same station once. During this process, they will not be connected to the internet so they wont be communicating information to our back end server. So many make bike share a regular part of their commute that even a disruption of one day affects a lot of people. There are 28,000 registered users in the d. C. Area.
