A deadly crash in Loudoun County. A dramatic impact on the roads in that area. This is far western Loudoun County along route 7. One person was killed after a truck and car crashed. Deputy says u they had to shut down all westbound lanes of route 7 in the area of yellow schoolhouse road. Investigator says its going to be awhile before they will be able to reopen those lanes. It started thursday night at the Resource Recovery facility on martinsburg road. Darcy spencer is live there now and has the latest o on how this blaze could impact trash collection in the county. The smoke from it this fire is pretty bad depending on which way the wind is e blowing. It has a horrible smell. I want to show you where the fire is burning. Right here in this build ing this is the incinerator area u for Montgomery County. The fire is confined to this building. You can see the top part where they had to pull a hole in the building so they could get in and put water. This is very stubborn. They are having a hard time putting this fire out. They have been out here since about 6 30 on thursday evening working around the clock. But again, its still not out. Its confined. Looking at several more days of being able to get this completely out. They are facing a lot of challenges here. As we put water on the fire, it smokes up and then its hard for them to operate. If you live in a Single Family home, you will not be impacted. But if youre in a multifamily dwelling like an Apartment Building or a business, your trash is going to have to be sent to another facility. Lets hear from the fire spokesman. So they are asking the park service to change this policy and provide some space that can be properly watched over by police, but still be close to the inauguration ceremony. So the court says we dont know if the court will rule or not. If they did, could then the committee come back and file a countersuit and say this has always been the case.
