Reporter so we asked again today and Fairfax County schools issued a new statement saying it notified the parents of the alleged victims and the School District said the Chris RademacherGermany Exchange program trip and friendship connection were not officially sanctioned by the School District, but documents that Company Provided to the news4 iteam indicate Fairfax CountySchool Administrators did sign paperwork approving german students to visit langley parents said they were led to believe the trip was school sanctioned because the recruitment happened in district buildings by rademacher. It happened in the school, during open house where all the parents were in attendance. The news4 iteam has spent weeks trying to contact Chris Rademacher both in the u. S. And overseas without success. He has in the been criminally investigated or charged. Local police told us he couldnt be investigated since the alleged events happened overseas. A 17yearold Fairfax County boy is charged with threatening to bomb a school. The teenager is accused of emailing the threat to staff at Mclean High School last week and no bomb was found. A maryland man has been convico convicted of a drunk driving crash that killed his wife and sisterinlaw. Jerome wiggins is facing a maximum sentence of 16 years in prison. He was driving on the bw parkway pickup truck. His car slid on its roof for 200 feet killing his wife and sisterinlaw. Wiggins had ra blood alcohol level of 1. 9. Noahs law has just advanced in maryland. The house of delegates gave the bill preliminary approval today. The law cl yous a measure to expand ignition interlock requirements for drunk drivers in the state. Supporters criticized a more watered down version of the law who did not require people who refused to take a breath test to have ignition interlock installed but last night the committee added sanctions for people who refuse a test. The law was named after Montgomery CountyPolice Officer who was killed in a drunk driving accident. His father is lobbying for the bill. And its gratifying that the governor got behind this, the public got behind this, the media got behind this, and you know what . Under the stronger law, al45 person who refuses the test would have their license suspended for 270 days. The bill now moves to the state senate for a final vote as early as next week.
