This is a double loss for the homeowner who n h new place to live, and bury the family dog. He had to fight back tears to talk to our news4 eric ward. Reporter a veritable inferno, too intense at one point for even firefighters. A family dog perished, the only casualty. The aftermath, this grand home is a total loss. We dont know how it started. Reporter this house had become a fixture at riverdale park. It stood for more than a century, built by one oh of the early mayors. The current owner had restored the home and he was away when the blaze broke out. He got word and rushed back but there was no time to get anything out. This is the rainsnow line and why amount also be lower in Southern Maryland and up into parts of prince georges county. In the morning on tuesday, tracking snow. Loudoun, frederick still just mainly rain in parts of Southern Maryland. Snow throughout the day on tuesday. But again, the most piles up by 8 00 p. M. Tuesday. Southern maryland, the northern neck, 1 to 3 inches of slushy, wet snow. Washington, arlington, alexandria, southern fairfax, parts of Prince William county, stafford county, three to six inches of snow here. Notice washington on that line between 3 to 6 and 6 to 12. I think the district sees 12 inches. Montgomery, loudoun, faquier county, Frederick County in maryland, sees 6 to 12 inches of snow. This will cause cancellations on tuesday and some areas will see cancellations i think on wednesday, as well. So take a look at the forecast. School closed on tuesday based on these amouns. Not canceled, as well. For the commute, if youre heading into work tomorrow, come home early. Be home by 5 00, 6 00, and snow moves in after that.
