A metro spokesman just gave us an update and tells news 4 the Rail Operation Control Center lost the ability to remotely control switches where lines converge. The problem is now fixed. The metro says you should expect residual delays for some time. Were going to let you know if the situation changes. Were also keeping a close eye on the weather as molette mentioned. We have the first snow of the season heading our way and just coming in a few hours. Temperatures today stuck in th well top out somewhere in the mid30s, 36 degrees. But we have the cloud cover moving in quickly. Snow showers most likely after about 3 00. I do believe theyll start to stick after 7 00 or 8 00. Were stuck in the 30s, some areas still in the 20s. This is the region where i could find more snow accumulation as we head into tomorrow morning. You see weve got Winter Weather advisories to the west. Nothing for our area and you can see storm team 4 trying to drop a little snow but its fighting dry air and thats the way it will be throughout the afternoon. And some are already out treating those roads and crews say no matter the size of the storm, the sooner the better is best when it comes to treatment. Salt trucks and backhoes moving in sink, gearing up to salt and brine state roadways hours before the snow is forecast to fall. The early effort waged with rock salt and this is the brine machine. Developing this morning, a metro worker is in the hospital after falling down a shaft overnight at the bethesda metro station Montgomery County fire says it took about an hour and a half to rescue the man who had fallen 35 feet down a utility shaft. The worker seriously hurt his leg and back and being evaluated for hypothermia. This comes one day after melt tr metros Largest Union held a News Conference slamming the agency over employee safety. From yoplait. Weve got some breaking news coming out of Prince Georges County, the prince georges liquor board being raided by the fbi. News 4s trace e wilkins has the latest. Reporter on the office door it says closed until afternoon right now, weve been seeing fbi agents walking back and forth here in the office. It was confirmed for me that they are doing a search here. And this is a Court Ordered search. A source with knowledge of whats happening here inside of this office tells me that this may be related to two the Prince Georges County liquor board. Now it is important to note that this is a staterun agency. The folks on this board are appointed by the governor and working within this board. Now, this is following what happened during the m gm grands opening weekend. We had the chair of the liquor board who was arrested for dui and then later step down after the governor requested that he leave the board. That was james caldwell. And now, were hearing that the fbi is inside of this office and it has been confirmed for us by an fbi spokesperson, serving a Court Ordered warrant. And from what we can tell, its very possible that this is not related to the caldwell incident. But a separate incident dealing with two other commissioners. There have been some issues at the Prince Georges County liquor board over the past few years, even the transfer of power from the previous director to caldwell was when the past democratic leader of the board pretty much refused to step down and the governor had to intercede and make sure caldwell was able to take his seat. Now, again, he has stepped down from the liquor board and they are looking forry re a replacement for him. And the cochair of the liquor board is leading this agency. A very Important Agency here in Prince Georges County. Those are the folks who get out the licenses for any restaurants or any place that sales liquor. This is the work they do here. All of this has to come through this commission and approved by this commission. Were here live and well continue to stay here as we try to figure out exactly what the fbi is doing in here and confirm indeed this may be related to two commissioners who sit on the board. But police say this video streamed live on facebook shows a white man with special needs being tortured by a group of four africanamericans. Its sickening. Reporter a group of two men and two women are seen laughing hitting a Person Police found him walking tuesday in the 3400 block of west lexington and led him to nearby residents where the torture took place. He is an acquaintance of one of the subjects and they met in the suburbs and these suburbs stole a van in the suburbs and brought him into chicago. In the video they repeatedly use people and president elect donald trump. [ bleep ] donald trump. On wednesday Police Stopped short of calling it a hate crime. That certainly will be part of whether or not a hate crime if we seek a hate crime, to determine whether or not this is sincere or just stupid ranting and raving. The details of his nightmare sparking widespread shock and outrage. No matter what race or color you are, we are human. Nobody needs to go through this. I do believe thats going to be the name of the game through the afternoon. A few flurries and maybe a few light snow showers, but i dont believe maybe they are going to cause a dusting for the evening commute. Well see a coating there after, 7 00 or 8 00. Temperatures in the 30s, yesterday wep today 30s, about it. For the evening commute, could see a little dusting but i dont think theres going to be major problem.
