What it looks like as we made our way up the wet surfaces and even down towards ocean city, that area that was covered with water yesterday, there was as much as 10 to 12 inches covering that area down around division street all the way down to the inlet yesterday. It was covered because at high tide, all the water came back over the road. They had to close the road, then they reopened it, then had to close a portion of it again. We may see the same thing today because tide rrs expected to run high around 1 00 this afternoon. So theyre asking some of the folks around town, theres a car show in town, theres a number of things still going on. Quite a few people. Gunman also flunked out of basic training for the army back in 2008. Jesse matthew will serve three life terms in prison for sexual assaulting and trying to murder a woman in fairfax. On friday, he was handed the harshest sentence possible, life term for each count. Matthew is also charged with the murders of College Students Hannah Graham and Morgan Herrington in charlottesville. His mother screamed in court. And after the judge, this happened after the judge read each count. The trial for the murder of morgan is scheduled for next october. The suspect, Jonathan Diaz chavez is charged with one count of Malicious Wounding of a Law Enforcement officer. Investigators say that he raised a crowbar at that officer and that is when the officer pepper sprayed him. Police say he then took off and threatened of the officer again with that same crowbar. According to police, that is when the officer fired. Chavez diaz will appear in court next month. This morning we know more about Pope Franciss socalled meeting with kentucky clerk kim davis. Its true the two did meet while he was in d. C. Last week, but davis was apparently one of dozens of people the pope greeted that day at the area. Vatican says the encounter should not be considered a form of support for her position. Youll remember, davis is the county clerk who refused to authorize marriage licenses to samesex couples and ended up in jail for it.
