Because of the extreme heat, Power Outages continue in downtown washington. A number of museums are closed today because of the outage. One thing that people do in this town is when its hot, they go to the Smithsonian Museum to cool off. You can do that but you have fewer options. This is because of an incident that happened yesterday about noon. It left the holocaust museum, the National Museum of national art, the freer stacker and National IndianMuseum Without power. Theyll be closed the duration of the day. Power will be restored by noon, pepco says. Also, federal government buildings were affec the incident. It was the equipment failure down southwest third and east. It caused this. There were portable generators given to some of the government buildings and the agencies affected.
