Defense attorneys for accused serial killer Charles Severance are expected to wrap up today. In cord yesterday, the defense team took aim at testimony placing severance in the area of the most recent shooting. A witness says she saw a man who looked like severance in the neighborhood shortly after Ruthanne Lodato was killed. The defense suggested it was a different man, a man questioned by police. The defenses final witness will be their private investigator, shes expected to finish her testimony today. Severance is accused of killing three people in alexandria over a tenyear period. A man missing for more than a week has been found dead in laurel. Workers m s mowing the grass foa car overturned in the water yesterday afternoon. Inside police found the body of 26yearold marcus lee freeman. His family reported him missing since october 15th. Investigators spent hours trying to find out exactly how and why freeman crashed. Were also working to find out the name of the woman would who died after collapsing at the lincoln memorial. U. S. Park police say the woman who was 50 had some kind of medical emergency, fell down and hit her head yesterday afternoon. Officers performed cpr but the woman died at the hospital. There is a new pushback to a vote today on adding tolls to i66. The plan would cost drivers up to 17 round trip and includes variable toll lanes inside the beltway. One local delegate says that vote should happen in Northern Virginia, where residents can be present instead of virginia beach. Kristin wright following developments here. Prince William County board of supervisors says it did not support that proposed location near 66 and route 15 in haymarket. Some worry that putting the lot there could destroy a cattle farm. Police say Sandra Mcclary left her baby in a car seat on druid hill avenue in pasadena in july. Police say mcclary tried to blame the babys father. She is charged with child neglect and reckless endangerment. A driver accused of hitting a man three times with his car is now charged with attempted murder. Montgomery county police say 25yearold Bryan Jackson followed a man who he saw with his exgirlfriend on sunday. The man left his car to find out why he was being followed and Police Say Jackson rammed him, backed over him, and then hit him a third time. The victim is expected to survive. Not far from the neighborhood, police say they arrested several people responsible for a series of robberies. Last week there were six robberies in an hour near the navy yard on capitol hill. Police say small groups of three to five people are committing multiple robberies a night. The chief says robberies are one of the Biggest Challenges the district is facing now. A Virginia State delegate is asking the board to delay a preliminary vote on adding tolls. Kristin wright is live at arlington with more on why the delegate says todays vote is unfair to residents. Good morning. Delegate bob marshall has made this part of his reelection campaign. And he says vdot proposed 66 tolls are highway robbery. This plan that vdot says would ease congestion would cost commuters as much as 17 a day in tolls. On the high end, between d. C. And haymarket. Do the math, thats 85 a week. And more than 300 a month. People in car pool lanes would not have to pay, but the hov lanes would go from a minimum occupancy of two to three people by 2020. Now, the commonwealth transportation board is supposed to take this preliminary vote on the proposal at a meeting at virginia today. Delegate marshall says that vote needs to happen in Northern Virginia, so that residents can be there adding he doesnt see how the tolls and other changes would improve traffic on 66.
