Police know the victims name, but arent releasing it until they contact the family. Happening today, colts linebacker and former maryland Football Player Dqwell Jackson will be in court. He faces charges for punching a pizza Delivery Driver in the face. D. C. Police say the two got into a fight over a parking spot back in february. If convicted, jackson faces a maximum of six months many prison and up to a 1,000 fine. Today, you can go to an art exhibit to honor a woman killed in Fairfax County. The tribute to vanessa pham opens today. A man approached her in a park lot, asked her for a ride and attacked her. You can see the exhibit at northern Exhibit Community colleges annandale campus featuring art by her aunt. It is on display until this sunday. Were working to learn more about two shooting victims from Prince Georges County. Someone shot them on van buren street in chillum last night, not too far from pilate college. One victim ran into a nearby shot to ask for help. An employee tells news 4 the victims may be teenagers. Police say both of them should recover. No motive or suspect at this time. Developing this morning, a big setback for president obamas immigration plan and an Appeals Court ruled against that plan. 21 decision upholds a lower Court Injunction brought by 26 states. By executive order, the plan provides 5 million undocumented people with work permits and protection from deportation. This ruling basically says the president doesnt have the authority to do that. The ruling does not affect the president s policy protecting the children of undocumented immigrants from deportation. Now decision 2016, a preview of tonights gop debate in milwaukee. The twohour event is the first forum since the debate on cnbc. The candidates recently complained about the moderators and the questions. Fox Business Network is hosting the debate tonight at 9 00. Delegate kathie szeliga could nominate her decision to run. She is planning to make an announcement about a potential run this afternoon in annapolis. Senator Barbara Mikulski said she will not seek reelection in 2016. An update to a developing story. Two americans died in an attack in jordan at a Police Training center. New reports now say a total of eight people were killed there. The shooter also died. It is not clear whether he was included in that number. Investigators say the attacker was a jordanian officer. In south carolina, classes are happening today at a college where a Police Officer shot and killed someone overnight. The lockdown at Spartanburg Methodist College was just lifted a couple of hours ago. Investigators say two people in two people hit an officer with a car. The officer then shot at them. This all happened on campus. One suspect died. The officer was not seriously hurt. Just about 5 05, Montgomery County will decide whether to ditch final exams for high school students. A final decision is expected to be made at a School Board Meeting tonight. The board of education approved a proposal to phase out end of semester exams in september. It says students are already assessed in many other ways. If approved, the two hour long exams would be replaced with shorter assessments including unit tests and projects. It would start into 2016, 2017 school year. Also in Montgomery County, parents are not happy with the proposed redistricting plan at a School Board Meeting last knight, parents and students came armed with signs and voiced frustrations on the new plan. The county wants to relieve overcrowding by moving students from growing areas like gaithersburg to schools with fewer students. Parents are angry because some of the overcrowded schools were built less than five years ago. There will be another Public Meeting on thursday. Today, you can attend a Community Meeting about the future of i66 and virginia. The meeting begins at 7 30 at the town hall building. Today, we expect to learn more about the plans to give you more commuting options on vre. Vre is looking into an 11 mile extension. That would extend service from manassas through gainesville to haymarket near route 15 and i66. The meeting will provide the first update on the rail study. It begins at 6 00 p. M. At gainsville middle school. Im angie goff with breaking news out of southwest d. C. Where accident reconstruction teams are still on the scene of a fatal accident that involved a car fire. This is what we know. It happened on Raul Wallenberg place near maine avenue near the holocaust museum. Were told a driver lost control, hit a tree and thats when the car caught on fire. We just learned that all closures around this area have been lifted, even with investigators still on the scene. One person was found dead, deceased inside the car. At this point officers dont know how that individual died. We are working right now on getting more information about the victim. Were told the investigation should be wrapping up shortly. An investigation under way in alabama after this video of a controversial arrest surfaces on social media. The video shows tuscaloosa Police Officers subduing two university of alabama students. One of the students was tased. The officers were apparently responding to a noise compliant but unclear what led to that violent exchange. Three of the officer in the video are on administrative leave. In the day ahead, the man who killed three people at two Jewish Centers will find out if hell be put to death. Frazer miller jr. Is a selfproclaimed antisemite who said he wanted to kill as many jewish people as he could in april of 2014. The jury that convicted him recommended him for the death penalty. The judge will announce the decision later today. A former oklahoma sheriff may Face Criminal Charges after an investigation into a deadly shooting by a reserve deputy. The tulsa county sheriff is accused of not releasing documents from an internal investigation. The investigation questioned the training of the volunteer deputy who shot an unarmed man. That sheriff is off the job after resigning. The deputy involved in the shooting is also no longer working. Today, wsfc will prove it is ready for winter and water main breaks. Demonstrating how it closes off a valve and fixes the pipe when a water main ruptures. Future weather, that little batch of rain in southern virginia, here it is by lunch time, coming through the heart of the metro area. Rain will start to taper off after 4 00 or 5 00. By the time you get to 7 00, 8 00, 9 00, 10 00 this evening, most of the rain will be coming to an end. Roads on the wet side for your plans this evening. But drying by tomorrow morning. Here is that it looks like, looking at the camera facing forward here as we drive along branch avenue. Traffic moving pretty well. Dont have much road spray at these speeds. Were doing 40 miles an hour. Out on the beltway, youre going around about 70 miles an hour, 60 miles an hour, hopefully not that fast, youll get a lot of road spray, keep the speed down, this is fender bender weather. Were going to have wet roads throughout the morning commute. We have wipers off. Were not getting any drizzle. We were getting drizzle just about 15, 20 minutes ago, but that has now dissipated at least temporarily in Prince Georges County. What is happening on the roads . Speaking of the beltway, perhaps going maybe a little too quickly for the conditions, do have a problem here outer loop at 355, wisconsin avenue, one right lane and one right shoulder there is closed because of a single car crash there. And crew s on the scene trying to get that out of the way for us here. Taking a look now at Peach Orchard lane, flooding, i believe because of all the rain falling here. You can see this big green blob here of rain still falling in that area and along parts of 6 6 as well. Looking here as well at rockville, have some lanes blocked there. 95 here at morton road, nice sheen on the roadway. Thank you, melissa. Now to that developing news in southwest, where police are investigating a deadly car fire. News 4s derrick ward just arrived on the scene. What is going on . Reporter well, we can tell you now that that scene has cleared. There wont be a problem for your morning commute. But there is an investigation into what happened here. Were on main avenue near the intersection with Raoul Wallenberg police. 11 30 last night, they got a call of a report of a fire here. What they have determined is that there was a car traveling south on Raoul Wallenberg when it failed to make the turn on independence and went into the tree. Took down some of the fence posts there. And ended up in the grassy area and caught fire. They say there was one fatality male in the car, but they havent determined if it was a crash from the fire that caused this death. That is the ensuing investigation. This being such an important commuter route, they cleared this scene long before the morning rush. So all you will see is this yellow tape and the damaged fence. But police have an investigation on the hands about what caused the death of a person found dead in a burning car here at the intersection of Raoul Wallenberg and maine avenue southwest. Thats where we are now. Want to see what is wrong. A maryland pastor grieves an incredible loss to his church and its tight family. Four people and an unborn child were killed in a devastating crash in hyattsville. The victims were on their way to church when a pickup truck crashed into their van. Heart broken Church Members came together to pray at the scene of that crash. Kids and good mom and good father. A married couple in their 70s, 6yearold girl and the pickup truck driver died in the crash. Medics took 13 people to the hospital. Several still in critical condition. Now the elderly couple on the bus was originally from el salvador. Elba linares and santiago merche recently decided they wanted to move back. They were supposed to fly home in a few days.
