This is new video of the group exiting the Police Station south of rio, but the men were about to be en route home when they were called in by police. One of them already is. It shows the athletes checking back into the Olympic Village sunday night. The men did not act like they had just been robbed and seemed to have several items in their pockets despite claiming their wallets were stolen. Police also said ryan lochtes story doesnt match with his teammates story. Lochte spoke to matt lauer by phone and said he may have been embellished what happened. When he talked to me tonight, he said thats when the guy and cocked it and i pointedly said to him you had said before it was placed on your forehead and cocked. He said, no, thats not exactly what happened. And i think he feels it was more of a traumatic mischaracterization. The u. S. Olympic committee released a statement saying in part that jack conger and gunnar bentz will continue their conversations with police today. Lochte is back in the u. S. And says he was never asked to stay in brazil for further questioning. Ntsb is now investigating the deadly explosion at the Flower Branch apartments in silver spring. Today marks one week since that blast. The agencys senior pipeline investigator has been on site from beginning. Seven people died there. Still no word on what exactly caused that explosion. Sources tell news 4 the preliminary cause of that blast could be out by tomorrow. But until those results are released, some people who live in the Flower Branch apartments say they are afraid to go back home. Many are still trying to figure out what their next move is. Residents like felishia and her husband came back to their apartment to get a few things. They didnt stay very long though. She was unsure about what will happen next. Until she learns exactly what happened one week ago, she doesnt feel safe. All of us were so scared seeing what happened next door to our neighbors. The Prince Georges County executive says abuse allegations at the countys Head Start Program are unacceptable. The federal government has now pulled 6. 5 medical of funding.
