One came from a home and then the second one from a neighboring house, that caller reporting the sound of gunshots. When officers arrived, they found a man in the backyard of a home. They say that he was suffering from trauma to the upper body. Thats how they phrased it. He later died at an area hospital. Now, police have been asking folks in the neighborhood to stay inside their homes. And thats not necessarily because they think that there is a danger to the community. Rather, they are trying to prereceiver tpre preserve the scene. They have a lot of investigating to do. Its dwaark and they want to wa until the sun comes up so they can take a look in the daylight before they allow neighbors to mill about in the immediate area. The reporter on that scene saying that officials are telling him this was a, quote, violent and wanted tell lfelon. It happened around 4 00 a. M. In an area called bay view, close to a couple of churches. Again, a man shot and killed by police. Officials saying this is a violent and wanted felon. As soon as we get more information, well wribring to. Now an iteam investigation. Federal prosecutors looking into allegations that a former virginia teacher behaved inappropriately with students. Christopher rademacher resigned from his Job High School and his teaching license was revoked after a trip to germany in 2014. The iteam Scott Macfarlane uncovered disciplinary records that detail allegations that rademacher supplied alcohol to students and encouraged them to engage in sex acts during that summer trip to germany. Rademacher never appeared at a dismachine area hearing on his case. He provided no statement on what happened. And hes been unreachable by phone or email. The trip wasnt sanctioned or sponsored by the school or Fairfax County public schools. Police say they could not launch a child abuse investigation because the alleged misconduct happened overseas. No criminal charges were filed against rademacher, but the u. S. Attorneys office is reviewing the matter. Well continue to update you. Fairfax police have made an arrest in the case of a school bomb threat. A 17yearold was taken in for making a bomb threat over email at mclean wednesday march 2.
