Certainly they have to dig down to that pipe, swap out the section that is broken and then they have a lot of repair work in terms of fixing the road itself. We have all the erosion and they will have to fix the asphalt, as well. So this will be with us no doubt into the afternoon. There were many people in the area without water for a time yesterday. What i was told is that they have basically minimized the area that is impacted here. Quite a bit of lightning and the rain could be blinding at times especially south of the city along i95 theyre frnear frede. So were in weatherrt between now and about 10 00 this morning. Could easily get another inch of rain. Flash flood watches are up for the northern parts of the Shenandoah Valley from winchester to martinsburg to hagerstown. No watches or warnings yet. This is a strong storm just south of fredericksburg. It will be in Southern Maryland on the other side of the potomac within the hour. So traveling conditions will go downhill quickly in Southern Maryland. The strongest and most severe of the storms are just south and west of us todown towards richmond. The primary threat will shift to localized flash floodings a the rain continues to add up more and more. Luckily its been a relatively dry stretch, so flash flood guidance is fairly high.
