Fire crews are using everything from chainsaws, extra engines, manpower. Department whether its fighting fire, ems calls, car accidents. Danville utility crews have been working all day to restore power to the roughly 750 people in the city who lost power as a result of yesterdays storm. Crews spent much of the day replacing a utility pole in the 3hundred block of kennon road. A tree in the yard of one of the homes on the street fell and landed on the power lines. That created a domino effect, pulling down those lines and several surrounding lines. Utility workers say. Theyre glad they didnt have as many Power Outages from this storm as they did about a year ago. Thats when around 25 hundred people lost power. If it had kept raining and the temperature had staid around freezing, 31 to 32 degrees, we wouldve had a lot more people out. Were pretty lucky; we think were lucky.
