Um, sweden, you know a lot of people know in the past there has been a place in sweden i think it was gotten berg or Something Like that that had gone to a 6 hour work day instead of 8. Now more of sweden is adopting it because basically they are finding the productivity is really great. People are happier, they feel more successful, they have more time fa for personal lives. Productivity has gone up, wage i would like america to be a country that moves to a three day weekend. So a four day work week. I agree. You know. Something like that. You would be fine with 8 hours as long as it is four days. Yeah the 6 hour thing i would take too. I think that is fantastic. They found people are productive in the same way in six hours as they are in eight hours they dont get anymore done with the extra two hours. Im not surprised. Kind of interesting. Say. That is kind of interesting. How often do you call your mom . Your mom is here i know you talk to her a lot. Probably almost every day. Really thats pretty good. Sometimes ten time as day. Not quite maybe, but my dad would probably say it is close. I call my mom almost every day too. Does your mom call you or do you call her . I almost always call her. Me too. She would call me about it is always when it works for me because im the one going here and there and everywhere else. She always drops everything to make time for us there was one time i tried not calling my mom i didnt hear from her. She was like what is wrong are you okay. I was like you havent called me she goes thats because you call me. That would happen to me too. Its interesting, at least once a day, 24 of adults call their parents or moms. Moms specifically. A few times a week 24 . At least once a week is the highest amount. Is 12 . I think girls are much more lilikely to call their moms as adults than men. Moms think their kids should phone them once a day. Things you can do in ten minutes to get yourself organized. Yesterday it was the junk drawer our conversation, viewer jan sent us this picture because thats how she has managed the stuff in her junk drawer. Got bins from a dollar store and labeled each one. It is like tape, she was one whole bin for glasses. But then i would add like colored pencils or markers there is a lot of things you can do with your bins. I feel like you would just fill them up. I think they are more like thats a great idea. I think the biggest thing to do when you are organized is compartmentalize. Its the greatest thing ever. My tip for today because we are running out of time is bill paying can be a real pain. A lot of people spend an hour or more time paying bills. Dont pay them. Either dont pay them that would save time, [laughter] or just pay a few bills. Set a timer pay a few a couple times a week rather than paying them all at one time. The other tip which i think good toy this for homework for my i do this for my homework for kids. Do people do that . Older people my generation and older. , but have all of the supplies or tools you need or maybe a special area talking about compartment youllizing so you can sit down and do it for ten minutes and not think about it as a huge chore. And this is meant to be just that. This is quinoa berry parfait. And you can freeze it in sandwich bags. Quinoa is all protein. It is its one of the only complex grains so it has a ton of protein in it. Then you add some yoplait. There are so many flavors. There are so many flavors. I did berry. Think i have peach here and cherry. I love peach. I love cherry. You and peaches in instead you would have something completely different. This is great because if you tried to do this with granola it would get all soggy. And mine is not turning out very pretty right now, but it will still taste really good. I think its pretty. You are so nice. You bring that jar to work think about us tiff. Or you could send it with your kids. You should make some of those for us. Totally. Feel so full all morning long. That is loaded with protein and you have your fruit in one jar. And they are so yummy. I love it. This is really cute. Then you can take your empty container and make one of these fun diy pencil holders. Love it. So you just go to the craft store and pick out any kind of different color paper. I went with very girly colors. Thats okay. [laughter] i like that. Thank you. Every kid should have a because even if they dont do homework in their room they do a lot of stuff in their room whether it is writing in the journal or whatever. These are so colorful and fun and easy. My kids from their pencils all over the house. I picked one off the floor this morning actually. These would be perfect for them or perfect for lockers. Oh, put magnets on the back. Super cute. Hold it up to the camera. Look how that put these magnets here. So you can put it on your locker a lot of kids bring extra pencils or macers you would have it markers and you would have it right there on your locker. And you can see how easy it is to make. Quick and easy. So this is the latest post i have on my blog, a one pot southwestern alfredo pasta dinner. It als h it. Youve got chicken, beans, and i love that it is one pot. So you start with your pot and saute up red pepper and pull that out. Fill it with water. Boil up your pasta and throw in frozen corn. You drain it all then you you get this. In here you have your pasta which has been cooked and frozen corn. Yup and you throw in your chicken. And you can use rotisserie chicken it makes it so easy. Black beans the red peppers you sauteed for a little bit. Yup and what makes the alfredo . Just a jar of store bought alfredo sauce. So easy. My daughter wrote this shes in 7th grade, things you should know about me. One of them was i love pasta. [laughter] shes a girl after my own heart. This meal would be a sure hit probably for a lot of kids. I know ie so do my kids. Two table spoons of store bought taco seasoning. Smells good. That is easy. We also did a trey creeling in there with barn wood from tennessee that was reclaimed wood which turned out awesome. We did granite on the island. We opened up, we took down some walls. Look at this bathroom. Thats incredible. Omg. Was this one of the winning . This is the one here that actually won. There . It is a shower. It is a piece of amber glass that separates the tub and the shower. There is body sprays in there. A rain shower, a hand held. [laughter] i love that. His and hers. Like hitses you from every direction. Yeah. Heres a custom barrel ceiling with applied moldings that goes throughout the ceiling. You can change a ceiling that much . Y within a house. Yes. We actually on that one there you have to to get a had to do trusses. You would have to restructure the house almost. Correct. It turned out amazing. That space i mean, you want to go to your bedroom all the time. Yeah. Its almost like a spa. It is almost like a spa. I love that. Do you help people imagine the possibilities like what were seeing here. Thats that incredible kitchen space that before and after. Correct. Do you help people with the design and ideas . Designer that draws the spaces. In house designer helps with the selections farce what kind of granite, what kind of cabinets what kind of backsplash all of that stuff. Do you think most people know what they want or they see a picture and say i want this. A lot of times people will go online and say this is what i want can you do this or we have other people that say what would you do with this space we will come up and say this ist sometimes they dont want to go with all of our ideas because our minds go so far with it. And the ceiling, it is something really exceptional and adding those touches is really need. Lets talk about the expand with the restoration and fire houses too. Correct. So we actually brought brian in a few years ago to do that. Its been going really really good. What is it . Right now we respond 24 7 for like the rains from last night. Floods in the basement things like that. We provide, we encompass all of our services into responding you know remediate the flood and the water damage and we combine that with our remodeling aspect and you dont have to go find two, three, four people or you dont have to rely on your Insurance Agent to find two or three people youre not comfortable with. So we figure if we can bring everything together we can Better Service the customer and that way allows us to be very flexible if it is exterior, fire, we can help you with anything you need. It seems like more and more, i know of young people, people even younger than me, who are dying of brain cancer. You lost your brother. How long between diagnosis and the time of his death . It was five years. It was five years. And weve known others who, our goo years thats why were so passionate about what we do. Our goal is simple we just need to find a cure and we need to find it as quickly as we can so others dont suffer and lose someone who is dear to them. Absolutely. Lets talk about your event. What makes it so unique there are so many things that go on with the events you put on. I think for us its really about the people. It is so great to see the same people come back year after year, and then the new faces that come back, and it is the celebration, its a wonderful location, and just the whole festivalness of it. Its just fun to be together. For a great cause. What location do you use . Its at menomonie park in menomonee falls. Beautiful. This is a Family Friendly event. People can head on out. I see bucky there. He was there last year. He was there last year. Its Family Friendly. The avid runner who wants a challenging cou for them for sure. Lots of trails, lots of grass areas, i just ran it monday still a little sore from it. Its an 8k or a 5k. The walkers or joggers its just beautiful. It is scenic and you look around and you say im really making a difference here. And thats what is really neat about the event. Last year you even had a Morning Blend viewer a that came out. It was really great. Afterwards this gentleman, young man came up to me and said im fighting this right now and i feel part of this. Said welcome to the family welcome to the pack. He said the only reason he found out was his wife saw us here last year on your show. That is so neat. Thats what it is about how do with make connections to inspire others and get the word out. We mentioned we saw the photograph of bucky last year he was your special visitor, your special participant. And this year, exciting too because you are going to have members of the racing sausages a lot of people have seen them miller park and members of the uw marching band. This is true. And your daughter who is here on the show performing is going to be there also, after singing right . She will be yup. Shes our post race entertainment. Exactly. She does that for the cocktail hour at the golf outing as well. Thats awesome. She really enjoys it. I bet people enjoy it with her. Its a post race celebration for sure. I think its wonderful. Is there anything you think cancer you want people to take away about what youre doing this for . Part of it is it is underfunded. Thats one of the reasons we like to raise more money for brain cancer research. It is a terrible disease. And um, they made progress. Dr. Hararri was just at our golf outing and talked a little bit about some of the progress they have made. Were fortunate working with dr. Harrai at the comprehensive Cancer Center we changed to a fellowship from a professorship to a fellowship. We have our first fellow started august 1 and, she will be doing Clinical Trials so were starting to use the Million Dollars for research. A lot of research and we are very excited about the fact that she is part of our program. That is thats a huge advance really exciting. All of money you have raised we effort. People can come out and run with wolfes. J
