Firefighters and volunteers dumped all these sandbags to stop the water from getting to st. Johns lutheran school. Now lutheran school. Now that the water is gone, the clean up effort begins. Crews are removing the concrete barriers and sandbags dumped on Bridge Street yesterday when a gush of water flooded the road. The rising waters forced School Leaders to evacuate 2 schools. En were also emptied at parkview primary. Firefighters from several departments jumped in. They spent hours using hoses to pump the water away. Volunteers also came out dozens filling up sandbags to keep the water out. It was definitely more than 6 inches. We have low lying areas here. I would say some areas 67 feet deep. St. Johns is not Holding Classes today but teachers are here mopping up. The other school , park view elementary did reopen this morning. And classes resumed field at hartland high school. A viewer posted this picture to our facebook page. We checked in with the High School Principal he says there was a couple feet near the bleachers and this morning it all receded. There will be cleanup that needs to be done the water left debris behind and some Sports Equipment did get wet. The schools Football Game this friday is away.
