Now the flames broke out at a home on del a field place, two firefighters were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Everyone inside that homemade it out okay. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Also, in the district now, man undergoing a mental evaluation this morning after nearly a sevenhour standoff with police. Police were called to an Office Building on k street in georgetown for a welfare check. That man refused to come out until late last night, as of right now police say he will not face charges. Metro Transit Police looking for six people in connection with violent attack that happened just days before christmas on the red lion. Reporter good morning, yes, so metro police tell us that they did detain a couple of kids right after the attack. But they werent able to positively identify them as suspect in the assault. So now, they have gone through some external surveillance cameras, and found some video and some pictures that they would like people to look at. Now, these young people have not yet been named as suspects. They are three males, three females in the group. Metro police say still uncertain of their ages, but they did say that the ages were initially withheld from the public because of the people could be minors. It was 5 30 in the evening december 21, aboard red lion train traveling from Union Station to brook land. Now, just before the noma stop, group every teens was egging each other onto commit some kind of random robbery and attack. One. Witnesses said the funds every victims head until he couldnt move and knock him out. Called conductor for help. Police were waiting on the platform at the noma station, but some metro riders wish for more police on the trains. I always thought it was weird that there werent any cameras there. You think just format ers like this. Now, the suspect did get away, incident was not caught on video, metro says it did not release the photos sooner because it didnt want to influence perhaps the recommendation of any witnesses in this case. We also know that Transit Police are working with School Resource officers to try to identify student. They say that theyve had much success using School Resource officers for incident involving teens on metro in the past. Thomas went missing on sunday, thats when he was last seen sunday night when he left his home on belviere drive. He got into uber with a duffle bag.
