You know, a lot of places didnt get out of the low 30s today. And then you combine that windchill, felt like it was in the windchill. It was cold out there tonight. So i say get ready for another day that is not exactly warm, but not as windy as today was. A bit of sunshine back in the forecast and then theres some friday, where we have a little wintery mix in the fore forecast for the evening commute. How about if we start with the next two days and give you an idea of what we are expecting. Tomorrow should feature some sunshine and a temperature of 41 degrees and tomorrow night, the clouds increase. Our friday will only be about 38 degrees. A couple cold days coming and well have to watch the friday afternoon time slot. It looks like well get a combination of snow or sleet, maybe on friday afternoon. Could ultimately change over to rain, but in some spots, well have to watch surface temperatures because as they come in, they could end up being freezing rain in areas to our west. Well be watching the friday time frame. No big worries other than the fact youll need layers again. Hopefully not as windy as it was today when places gusted between 30 and 40 miles per hour. High temperature only 40 degrees. Again, a lot of places only in the 30s and check this out, we have a lot of 20s across the map tonight. 25 for gaithersburg, baltimore youre only 26. Same reading for manassas and actually, manassas at 27. Duel dulles at 26. Its going to be one of those nights where the windchill is a problem. Its only feeling like its in the teens in most areas. 17 in the district. 11 in martinsburg. 13 at dulles. So, i think well have a breeze tomorrow that wont gust, maybe to 30 or 40, but noticeable at 20 to 25. And tonight as we keep the breezes going, temperatures will be dropping into the upper teens, low 20s, and again, if the breeze were to drop off, we would really see it get colder than that. The air is dry. A little bit of cloud cover around. Snow well to our west. And then a pretty big storm that everybody is talking about out here in the middle part of the country. Blizzard conditions, maybe 6 to 12 inches of snow for some of the
Central Plains<\/a> areas and a little bit of that moisture we will be watching here on friday. But already parts of kansas have picked up 7 inches of snow. Thats why they were working fast to get to the bottom of that news story before this snow moves on in. We are headlining the possibility of a light wintery mix friday, not for the morning commute, but maybe for the evening commute and friday night, we would have to watch it. Here is what the setup would be. Again, a nice dry day tomorrow, but continue to watch that moisture that i just showed you. The snowstorm out in the planes. That area of low pressure there travel to our west. As it gets in closer, that wintery mix may complicate our afternoon drive because a lot of times moisture gets in. Earlier than we think, and again, we are thinking a small combination of snow or sleet, freezing rain, and changing over to rain. For tonight, 26 degrees. Were going to be breezy and much colder in the suburbs. Only in the upper teens and low 20s. Not a lot warmer than today was, but better and a little less windy at 41 degrees. Your fox 5 sevenday forecast, dont have many warm temperatures on here until you get to monday. If you consider 50 degrees warm, i think by the time you get through the next several days, you will. Youll be enjoying the early part of next week. We are up and down quite a bit and there is going to be another big snowstorm for new england and a close call for the mid atlantic. It looks like rain.
