Its up there in the roof, on the second floor balance canism in the fire started at 3 about 6 00. Firefighters say the fire was contained to the second floor and the front office but there is smoke and water damage on both floors. No reports of any injuries and were waiting to learn exactly what sparked the fire. Tisha an emotional day in a courtroom as a man pleads guilty to killing his girlfriend. Logan mcclain pleading guilty to the murder of britny puryear. She was found dead at home in 2014. Puryear and mcclain were dating at the time and had a baby boy together. Together her family talked about their concerns about death. Mcclains sentence was sentenced to 3 years in prison for the crime 32 years in prison for the crime. Steve a teenager who admits to killing his girlfriend and then dumping her body in a river. Jemichael malloy was back in court two years after he confessed to killing Danielle Locklear in 2014. Her body was later found in the south river along the county line. Malloys lawyer told the judge the teen would consider entering a guilty plea to capital murder with a 25year to life sentence and the possibility of parole. If malloy goes to trial and is found guilty of first degree murder, could he face life without parole. The judge gave malloy and his lawyer four weeks to decide. Tonight Raleigh Police are looking for two men responsible for a terrifying Home Invasion that was reported yesterday afternoon at a home in Northeast Raleigh. Raleigh police are investigating this as a burglary and Forcible Rape but Northeast Raleigh neighborhood is in danger because there havent been any other cases like this in the area. The mother of the teenage victim says she found her daughter in a coat closet taped to a chair with no clothes on. The girls stepfather says his stepdaughter was upstairs when two men went into the house. She tried to hide. But they found her and took her downstairs, tried getting her to unhook the tv, but ended up tying her up, sexually assaulting her and shoving her in the close et. He doesnt know how but she says she was able to facetime a friend and send voice texts to her mom asking for help. He says the teen has been back and forth to wake med twice since the incident. She says shes fine but she dont look fine to me. Its like shes been tormented in the mind about whats going on. The report states that 18 increase was driven by a doubledigit rise in reported aggravated assault. Robberies and homicides. In 2014, durham had 22 homicides. That number jumped to 37 last but chief smith says 26 of those homicides have been cleared. There are some positives in this report. Poverty crimes are down by 4 in 2014.
