Fox 29s Shawnette Wilson is live in northwest detectives. Shawnette . Reporter watching this video is just going to make you angry. The clerk actually handed over everything but when he reached for help, the robber went on a violent attack. Surveillance video of a robbery gone bad. At least for the 50 year old victim. Workers at m and m deli in roxborough watched it over and over and still cant believe what happened. Disgusted, um, beyond angry. Reporter it was tuesday just before 2 00 in the afternoon when you see a man walk into the store and right behind the counter. Hes hold wagon police say appears to be a macys bag in one hand an gun in the other. Watch as he directs the store owner to give him money from the register. Then force him to hand over packs of cigarettes from the shelf. Cashier christa describes where it takes a turn for the worse when the store owner makes a quick move. He hits the panic button. Seen that and he looked under and seen the button and thats when he hit him. Reporter hit him not once or twice but at least six times in the head. The victim falls to the floor and his robber turned attacker takes off. Christa who lives above the store got the desperate call for help. The whole entire left side of his face was very red. His eye was very blood shot and his face was kind of swollen. He was just out of it. Reporter the victim has own the store and worked in it nearly 20 years. Employees say he was robbed at gun point and attacked about 10 years ago but that guy was caught. They hope this one will be, too. He was already falling. He was already disoriented. Why did you have to keep hitting him . Reporter the victim suffered a broken eye socket. Were toll the suspect got away with 1,500 in cash. Police say if you know who he is, call them. Iain . Shawnette, thank you. A woman and her boyfriend are under arrest after police say the womans daughter brought heroin inside a philadelphia elementary school. Tonight the District Attorney office approving charges of endangering the welfare of a child against 32 year old marie hunter and 28 year old Christopher Troy jenkins. The charges stem from a search of the couples home. Police say on tuesday, hunters six year old daughter took 11 packets of heroin to her First Grade Class at barry elementary school. Police are still not sure where the girl got the heroin. No one at the school was hur. Teachers at Burlington Township middle school are being credited with saving a students life. Theyre quick actions helped a seventh grade girl after she collapsed at the beginning of gym class. Fox 29s drew dickman is live in Burlington Township with those lifesaving moments. Drew. Reporter School District officials estimate that more than 40 Staff Members are trained in cpr and in the use of aeds so when this student went down, those teachers sprung into action. The training kicked in, as they waited for First Responders to arrive. I heard one of my one of the gym teachers call in that the girl was having a seizure. And that i looked out and i saw her on the on the ground on the gym floor. Reporter seventh grade al anna had just left the locker room when the beginning of gym class turned chaotic. As i was coming out her heart stopped beating and my gym teacher started running. Im not sure what she was going to get. Reporter that teacher grabbed his aed. Call for help. The first few minutes are the most important part. Plug in pads connector. People just wan wanted to automatic mode and did what they needed to do. Reporter several Staff Members came to the seventh graders rescue performing cpr and using the aed in the two minutes they waited for endeavor emergency squad to get there. The staff had already defibrillated the child once and it was through their actions that actually probably saved the childs life. Reporter what caused her collapse is unclear. Were told the girl was hospitalized but responsive and talking to her family. Just three weeks ago an eighth grader at Harrington Middle School in mt. Laurel collapsed during gym class and died. Burlington township School District Officials Say that incident was on their minds. We are very tightknit community here. Um, and our students are our children. , and we value them. We love them. And its our goal to make sure our students are safe and that theyre healthy. Reporter spokesperson liz scott are hoping to get more of their staff emergency certified. Another 140 people have expressed interest in learning these lifesaving skills. Without the training and without the aed devices, our conversation would probably be different. Reporter beginning in september, all Public Schools in new jersey will be required by law to have an aed and someone thats certified in cpr at all school and sporting events. But when the party shut down, four thieves moved in under the cover of darkness and stole the deflated bounce house and dunk tank. Obviously, sick and thinking it was a big joke and have no care in the world. Reporter these are surveillance photos of what authorities believe is a gray or silver dodge dac pickup truck that hauled away the 3,000 dunk tank and the 1800 bounce house. Four guys get out with flashlights, empty the water out of the dunk tank. Place it in the back of the truck and they also pick up the deflated bounce house. Reporter this is Surveillance Video obtained by fox 29 from perks pine hill market that caught the truck passing with the dunk tank in the back minutes after the robbery. Something had to be seen or heard by now. Reporter the real heartbreak for the kids who use these ball fields in town. Clementon youth at let Tick Association paid for the bounce house and dunk tank as part of a fundraiser. If its not recovered, the cyaa may have to come up with the money to replace them. They say 41 year old david mc cavity was driving drunk when he slammed into a Police Officers patrol vehicle on route 40 back in late april. Heres a look at the damage done to that vehicle. The officer inside was seriously hurt but survived. Mc cavity was wanted for assault by auto dwi and reckless driving. A terrifying river rescue in central pennsylvania. Two kayakers got stuck in the middle of harrisburgs dock street dam. Rescue crews loaded their boats in the water and race to do where the men were stranded. Crews waded through the water and took both men out. Harrisburgs fire chief says the dam is very dangerous. It is a killing machine. Its a drowning machine. Once you get stuck in that back wash it pushes you back against the face of that dam and you just continually go in a circular motion back into the wash underneath the water. Both rescued men told police they thought they could go over the dam. But one of the kayak kearse admitted he cannot have stopped even if he want to do. So she called fox 29s bruce gordon for help. The roof is falling from the third floor down to the basement and aint nothing but rubble. Reporter Sharon Redwood peeks through the weeds behind the vacant row home next door. She says its been collapsing for years wearing down her quality of life as it goes. Im just sick of it. Reporter around the front of 806 west sixth street you can peer through the window at the rubble inside. How long is it going before it starts falling in on my property . It might fall and cave in on me. Look at them houses in philadelphia. People are dying. Reporter that fear is not unfoundeed sharon every big stom brings with it the sound of falling bricks. Out back the neighbors massive tree has engulfed the chain linked fence that borders the properties and uprooted her concrete walkway. Reporter the city was not immediately able to tell us when the latest inspection was carried out. And so what am i left to do . Just deal with it. They not dealing with it because they not living like this. None of them is. Reporter at our request sharon asked the city of chester to respect both the vacant row home and hers. Theyre still working out a time to make that happen. If the situation is deemed eminently dangerous, the city could theoretically bulldoze that crumbling structure and bill the own are in but with no guarantee of recovering that money, this cash strapped city may be hess tanning to that route.
