You can see it slowly moving to the south and east but it is weakening so that is some good news and right now nothing is severe. But a whole lot of lightning. Police on a desperate hunt for the man in this Video Surveillance video capture him during a violent robbery inside an Apartment Building in the Oxford Circle neighborhood. Fox 29s Chris Oconnell is live at Police Headquarters and chris you spoke to that victim. Reporter yeah, that robbery victim is telling us her chilling story about how she begged her attacker to spare her life. The violent attack was all caught on video. The Surveillance Video caught the attack and Voicemail Message from the victims phone captured the screams of a violent robbery of a woman arriving home to her Oakland Terrace apartment in Oxford Circle on fathers day. He told me, you know i got a gun. I below your head. I below your head. Reporter 45 year old victim who were not identifying recounts the terrifying night of june 15th and shows us the bruises still left on her arm. She says a man followed her inside the apartment lobby from the parking lot. He demands money, jewelry and threatens to kill her. The video then shows the victim being led outside into her suv and it doesnt end there. When the victim doesnt have any money, he tells her to call a friend to deliver cash. Call your friend tell your friend whats going on. He got to bring money. If not i below your head. Reporter in the meantime the man drives the victim around northeast philadelphia for more than a half hour. The whole time trying to convince her attacker not to kill her. She thinks he listened. He say he got a problem. He got family and, you know, the only thing i tell him im going to pray for him. Reporter once the friend delivered the cash, the suv takes off again. But this time, the woman is let free down roosevelt boulevard. Thats when im trying to convince him, dont kill me. Dont do anything wrong. We going to help you. Reporter although the robbery happened 10 days ago, residents who live in the complex hadnt heard about the attack until today. For women just its not rig right. We should have known especially for it to happen like a week ago. They should have said something. Reporter police described the attacker as a hispanic male around 20 years old, 5foot eight. Officials say the victim was on the tracks. No one else was hurt. Amtrak service from philadelphia to wilmington was running behind schedule after the crash. And septa temporarily suspended service on its wilmington newark line as police investigator. Things are running smoothly at this hour. Arm former Philadelphia Police officer is going to prison for a long time. 53 year old Raphael Cordero just sentenced to 15 years for interfering with a federal drug investigation. Core dish row was a 23 year veteran of the department when he gave Sensitive Information to his half brother who Authorities Say was a member of a Drug Trafficking organization. Cordero was convicted last december. They were supposed to be their last day but now students at a south Jersey School have to come back tomorrow after a threat canceled classes today. In the meantime, the eighth graders of Northfield Community schools graduated tonight with tighter security. Thats when things get different because now school is back on the last day tomorrow and not all parents think thats the best thing. We have to go an extra day, are you serious . Reporter normal cap and gown signals the end of the school year but thats not the case for these eighth graders and rest of the students at Northfield Community school. Theyll be back tomorrow. Reporter last day of school was postponed after some threats made by a seventh grade boy discovered yearbook tuesday night. Police wont say what they were. A delaware state trooper is recovering after a gun fight with a suspect. Trooper fired back killing the suspect. Fox 29s dave stratt wise sr. Spoke with witnesses at that scene. There were cops every. Reporter investigators say 26 year old Delaware State Police Corporal Lloyd mccann was responding to a Domestic Violence incident when he encountered the suspect trying to get away. The suspect exited that vehicle and immediately exchanged gunfire with the trooper. Reporter Corporal Mccann is a four year veteran of the force, assigned to troop three in camden, delaware. He was raced to Bay Health Kent General Hospital by fellow troopers with two gunshot woun wounds. Then medivacked to christiana hospital for further treatment. Hes listed in stable condition and is currently with family. Reporter investigators say it started with a domestic confrontation in magnolia between the suspect 29 year old dennis hicks and his girlfriend at this townhome complex just after midnight. She said that last night he had pulled a knife on her and threatened to kill her last night. Reporter girlfriend and her children head out in this man home. When police were called, hicks fled. He returned around 7 00 a. M. When Corporal Mccann spotted hicks car on birdie lane near bay hill. The suspect got out and opened fire. Cow Corporal Mccann fired back killing hicks. Its which you al shame it had to end that way. Reporter at least 14 shots were fired. Some left bullet holes in two homes including kenny gordons house. Im glad my brother didnt get hit. Reporter northwest detectives used a battering ram to enter a home just across the street from the bloody crime scene around mid afternoon. They were looking for clues in a predawn attack that has shaken this block. Its a lot of break ins going on lately. This used to be nice neighbor. Not any more. Reporter it was just after 4 30 a. M. When police were called to this home outside lay 71 year old marica taylor. She was in bad shape. Suffering from multiple stab wounds. Approximately 15 establish wounds from the chest to her toes. Reporter not far away lay her 54 year old longtime companion dennis connelly. He, too, had been stabbed twice in the torso. Police recovered a kitchen knife with a 6inch blade at the bloody scene. And they noticed something bizarre. An 18 year old boy the neighbor from that searched home with a garden hose in hand. Not only hosing down the blood but was hosing down the 71 year old bloody female. Reporter the boys mother says her son was asleep at the time of the attack and simply rushed to the victims aid. He was in the basement and the window is broke in the basement my window is broke down there. He said he kept hearing help, help, help he ran out. Reporter home writ all happened was overrun with kittens and cats. They were taken away by pspca agents to be checked out. A rear window in the home was out suggesting a possible break in. It but the condition of the place made it tough to figure out exactly what happened here. It is filled with stuff and debris and trash and furniture and anything you can name from the third floor to the basement. Reporter that 18 year old from across the street has been questioned by authorities as a witness. At this point no one has been arrested or charged in this case. As for the two stabbing victims their conditions have been upgraded from critical to serious. Theyre known around the neighborhood for their erratic behavior sometimes off putting behavior but neighbors we talked to said no one deserved what happened to them. In the newsroom Bruce Gordon Fox 29 news. The search is on tonight for a man who walked away from a Montgomery County assisted living facility. Authorities say 67 year old George Warner left the pennsburg assisted care center yesterday and did not return. Facility says he talked about leaving before but because of his age and some Health Issues officials are worried. Warner was last seen walking southbound on the 200 block of pottstown avenue in pennsburg tuesday afternoon. If you see him, call police. Another bridge, another investigation. New questions to night for new Jersey Governor Chris Christie and his administration. It centers around a nearly 2 billion construction project on the pulaski sky way in new jersey. The money comes from the Port Authority of new york and new jersey, but an investigation is now underway to see why the Port Authority is footing the bill since the bridge doesnt connect to new york. An investigation will look whether the deal violates security laws involving bond investors. This is a jersey project. New yorkers shouldnt pay for it and theyre plenty of things that need to be done on the facilities that the Port Authority owns and operates without spend hook knows how many hundreds of millions of dollars on this facility. Christie administration is still under investigation for the George Washington bridge scandal from last september. Two christie aids are accused of using traffic disruptions as political retribution for the mayor of fort lee. Meantime, a judge sides with governor christie and says he can cut contributions for Public Employee pensions. Governor christie says in order to balance the budget, he has to cut about 2. 5 billion in payments to the state Employee Pension program. The governor says its the only way to close a nearly 3 billion budget gap. Christie says he would veto any bills that raise taxes. The nations highest court ruled today that searching a cell phone is almost always unconstitutional if investigat investigators dont get a warrant first. In the two cases heard this spring, suspects were convicted and sentenced based in large part on what police found during warrant less phone searches. The government argued police have that right but justices argue that everything from your financial to medical information may be on your phone so police will need a warrant to search it.
