This is along the 2800 block of north fifth street. Police say a 32 year old man was shot in the head and the chest. So far there have been no arrests. Also breaking to night sky fox over the scene of an accident in atlantic county, new jersey. Traffic is closed in both directions along bears and estelle avenue in hamilton township. This happened around 8 30. Officials say there are some injuries and you are of course asked to avoid the area. And developing to night in south jersey, a food deliveryman is lured to an abandoned house and attacked. The victim says he was jumped and robbed by at least six people. Hes a fulltime College Student with a fee an same he says he needs his job. So he returned to work today but still concerned this could happen again. Just an ordinary day and then, umps, went to the house. The house looked pretty dark. I didnt really think nothing of it. Reporter 22 year old Mario Rodriguez has a been a food deliveryman for five years in vineland. But just one month into his job here at best food in town on landis road he was attacked and robbed when someone called in a fake order. I was confused the whole time. I didnt know what was going on. Reporter mario says when he pulled up to this house on north state street around 11 00 oclock thursday night, a guy standing outside said he was going inside to get money. As he returned, a second guy popped out from behind some burbs. I backed up a little bit. Look at my car and then looked back at him. Somebody just came out of nowhere and just hit me from the back. I didnt really know what they really wanted. They wanted me for my money or just the food. I just through the bag and just went to the street. Mario says by that time the group had grown from about three to six people trying to rob him. He says they went through his car, stole his wallet from the glove compartment and second delivery order from the back seat. Reporter it was in my car. I picked my phone up and called 911. Suspects took off running. Mario found out when Police Arrived that the house is actually abandoned. He returned to work the next d day. So concerned it could happen again. But he was rob at gun point. So mario really is concerned that this is a problem and things could get worse. In the meantime police have only a vague description of the suspects. This happened along the 700 block of lombard street. Police say they were called out for a domestic disturbance w officers ride a woman establish the officer who tried to break up the fight. Any time we respond to an incident of a domestic incident, or just on patrol you just never know whats going to happen so these officers are ill trained. Happening now, police are trying to find a woman wanted for a brutal beating. Why year old tia harris wanted for terroristic threats and aggravated assault. Bail has been set at 35,000. Police say shes the woman in this video taped attack of another woman. It happened while the victims two year old son watched on in horror. The victim is now recovering at home and her son was not hurt. Delaware state police say it appears the driver of a ups tractor trailer fell asleep at the wheel before his big jackknifed on i95 this morning. The accident closed the interstate near state road 141 for several hours but fortunately no one was seriously injured. Just after 4 00 this morning, one of his fellow truckers had to be rescued from this ups semi after rolling over on the southbound lanes of i95. Delaware state police say philip bates fell asleep and ran into the guardrail of the 295 merge lane before his truck ended up on its side. He might have a lot on his mind. He might have didnt get enough rest. Multiple things. Reporter u. S. Department of transportation allows a truck driver to be on the road for 11 hours a day. They also have to take at least half hour break in the first eight hours of their shift. He only likes to drive 6. 5 hours consecutively before making a pitstop. Got to know your limitations. The attorney for a teenager accused in a mass stabbing at a Pittsburgh High School says his clients mental condition is deteriorating. 16 year old alex hriba accused of stabbing 20 students at franklin regional high school. Medical marijuana is one step closer to becoming legal in pennsylvania. In a unanimous vote a Senate Committee approved a bill allowing marijuana to be grown, processed and diss penned with oversight by a state board. Under the proposal, state residents would need a 100 access card from the Health Department and written confirmation that they qualify for a medical condition. Governor corbett says he will only support the use of marijuana to treat children with seizures. Major changes at Philadelphia City hall as three of mayor michael nutters senior Staff Members announced they are leaving. At a press Conference Today the mayor said dr. Donald schwartz the deputy mayor for health and opportunity and Marie Ambrose the commissioner of Human Services department and first deputy chief of staff susan by miller on their way out. He praised their service to the city and got particularly emotional as he spock about dr. Schwartzs departure. The city is a better place and our children are safer because of don schwartz. applause . Schwartz and ambrose had been working with the mayor since 2008. By miller joined on in 2010. I think its a great opportunity for people that cant really get to the beach during the week to come down here and enjoy the water.
