Cops here have ever seen. A three year old boy is brutally beaten to death. Tonight his own mother and her boyfriend are behind bars here at the Chester County prison charged with that little boys murder. He was punched in the face and in the stomach. Reporter horrifying details of what happened to little Scotty Mcmillan was even difficult for prosecutors to explain. He was tied to a chair and beaten. Reporter 23 year old Gary Fellenbaum and his girlfriend jillian tate are facing murder charges after police say they systematically beat and tortured tates toddler son for the last three days of his life. According to police, all because the little boy refused to eat his breakfast. Barry fellenbaum is a 275pound man and he is punching a three year old boy in the head. Reporter police were called to the cluttered mobile home on hope lane tuesday night when they got there they found little scotty with a bloody nose, puncture wounds and unresponsive on a deflated air mattress. He died on the way to the hospital. When they saw his body, they wept. Reporter the evidence a homemade whip an metal rod used to beat the boy. The holes in the drywall is where police say fellenbaum repeatedly smashed the little boys head. The couple had just moved in here with fellenbaums exwife amanda. She also faces child endangerment charges. All three worked together at this local wal mart. Tate and fellenbaum are also charged with abusing tates six year old son. Gary fellenbaum and jillian tate tied the two boys up by their feet over a door and beat them. And while they were doing that, they were laughing. Reporter neighbors in this quite rural Mobile Home Park say they hardly knew the couple. What they did to that baby, i cant imagine. Never laid a hand on my kids. Prosecutors have just filed federal charges against 37 year old delvon barnes for kidnappi kidnapping. They say barnes snatched 22 year old Carlesha Freeland Gaither right off a germantown street. In fact he was hit with those kidnapping charges to night around 7 00 oclock and could be back here at fbi headquarters at any point now. In the meantime investigators that worked on this case were talking today about the family, the victim and what helped them crack this case. I promised i was going to get her daughter back. Reporter for veteran detective jim sloan the promise he made to Keisha Gaither to bring her daughter back alive was paramount in his mind after she was violently abducted off a street in germantown. Sloan met carlesha for the first time hours after she was rescued. I just told her, ive been looking for you. She started crying. Carlesha freeland gaithers three day ordeal came to an end wednesday evening when federal atf agents in jessup maryland surrounded the forward for taurus carrying gaither and her alleged abductor, 37 year old delvon barnes. Personality was kind of off, um, she started forgetting peoples faces and forgetting me when i was 13 when she started, um, like disappearing basically. Its difficult i never got to know her as a person. I was so young. Growing up has been hard for now 23 year old carissa. She was just a teen when her mom at 56 years old was diagnosed with early onset alzheimers after having symptoms for two years. Watching her disappear before your eyes pretty much was one of the worst things ever. Reporter carissas faint memories of her mother are of a strong independent woman not to mention glamorous who took care of everyone but now its just the opposite. It was waking up and trying to tell her you have to eat breakfast and get changed, you have to take a shower. Its not just like oh, she forgot where she put something. Reporter last year, the disease progressed so that doctor recommended they put her mom in a nursing home for around the clock care. Then just this past mothers day carissa came face to face with the harsh and heartbreaking reality. She look right past me as if i was another face in the room. I knew at that point she didnt know who i was. Reporter carissa spends much of her time now trying to raise awareness and money to help find a cure for the disease. This weekend shell participate in the walk to end alzheimers at Citizens Bank park. These are pictures from last years walk where carissa shared her story with others battling the same disease thats claiming lives and destroying families. This is all for her.
