Tonight his parents, family members and friends are pleading with the public to come forward with information that will lead police to that hitandrun driver. Jamal loved life. He loved church. He loved sports. He was a sunday schoolteacher. Reporter family members say 27yearold drexel grad jamal morris was a wonderful son, a funloving young man whose life was snuffed out by a hitandrun driver. Early saturday morning, here at 45th and market. As mom, i am pleading with the person who hit my son, i forgive you. So you need to know that i forgive you. He was a very simple man. Police believe he was on his bike when he was struck by a car around 3 45 a. M. Rescues workers thought hed been the victim of an Assault Police found his damaged bike and began investigating. Reporter his family says morris graduated from Drexel School offing. 2011. He loved physical so much he stayed here after graduation. He worked for local Engineering Company and also worked part time at the penn gym. He had lots of friends. Jamal is like a brother to meme he never left philadelphia and he was always with us. Reporter his mom last saw her son the week before the crash during a visit to philadelphia from her new york home. Last august she took a trip with him to las vegas. She says, even as her son was dying, he gave back donating his organs to help others. Seven people are going to be saved by his life. His organs will be donated to seven individuals. And that is huge. So he is going live on. Reporter now, jamals mother would also like to meet the person who called 911 and brought police and rescue units to the area. Shed like to thank them. Police did not find any evidence from the car that struck jamal morris here on the scene. But last night, these Safety Measures did not prevent an attack. She was pushed from behind, knock to the ground, and this unknown male punched her in the face several times. Reporter police say a 23yearold see female jogger knocked unconscious by a man wearing a ski mask and gloves. Police say the victim a university of delaware graduate student was found around 8 45 p.
