A lot of damage in cinnaminson, chris. Reporter . Yeah, this fastmoving storm, iain, was in and out very quick. But not before laying down some major damage all over south jersey. Some of the evidence here behind me broken tree limbs you see this, i mean this is all over the place here in cinnaminson. But for a couple of guys out on this golf course, this storm came a little bit too close for comfort. Oh my god heart pounding cell phone video of a fast moving high energy storm as it approached the Riverton Country Club in cinnaminson. Unbelievable amount of wind and we just all took cover. Reporter assistant superintendent dan baker was among the crew inside the maintenance shed where workers were had you had dead to escape the oncoming storm. It was just unbelievable. Ive been here for 11 years. Ive never seen anything as bad. Reporter this is where those guys were standing just minutes earlier. The roof of that shed collapsed by a tree. Three cars in the parking lot were also crushed like tin cans. On the course, even worse. Talk about your golf hazards. This is the eighth fairway. The damage is extensive on almost every hole. Across the street, a tree came right through the living room of another home. Like a war zone came through here these trees demolished. Beautiful hole number eight going down to number two. Must be 20, 25 trees on the ground. Unbelievable wait looks like. Reporter the hum of chainsaws filled the south jersey air many residents coming home from work to find their property in shambles. One guy had tree come through his house and they were down taking it out earlier today, and then a bunch of trees everywhere. Reporter this was the scene in Atlantic City. Winds topping 70 miles an hour. Ripped off a roof on an Apartment Building forcing the evacuation of the building on saint johns place. In cherry hill, owners of this home on willow dale drive were lucky to be out of town when the storm crushed this home. Officials say the owners cant go back inside. You worry about for the sake of god it could have fallen in the direction of our house and we would have had substantial neighbor as , damage as our neighbor has. Reporter 5,000 people in camden, burlington and Gloucester County without power tonight. As for this golf course, iain, this is a beautiful course but right now its shut down until further notice. When you look at that and when you see all of those trees down, it looks like Straight Line thunderstorm wind damage or something else. But we do know that those type of winds have to be at least 60 maybe even 70 miles an hour. Just incredible sight there in riverton. Ultimate doppler were not seeing anything. The good news is, the skies have cleared and well have starlit skies overnight. Take a look at some of these peak wind gusts in upper deerfield this is Cumberland County near Hurricane Force gusts. A 72 miles an hour gust. In cam, 69. Thats very close to riverton at the golf course where we saw the damage. Millville 66mile an hour gust. In Atlantic City where that roof was torn a 63mile an hour gust and in philadelphia at Philadelphia International airport a 59mile an hour wind gust. Severe indeed. Right now temperatures are cool to the north and west in the 50s. To the south and east into the 60s but most of us will be in the 40s overnight tonight. Still seeing winds out of the north northwest gusting to 28 miles an hour in lancaster. Still seeing a 26mile an hour gust in wildwood. Firefighters had to wait for peco to turn off the power to fight the fire. The driver did get out okay and was not hurt. Strong winds also toppling trees in north philadelphia. This huge one came crashing down about noon today along the 100 block of levick street. Luckily no one was hurt and no homes or cars were hit. It was a similar scene in New Castle County, delaware. This is on silver side road in wilmington. You can see part of a huge tree there just snapped in half. Several leaves and branches all over the place. And fox 29 cameras inside 30th street station earlier today where the board was filled with delays. Power outages leading to some problems on septa and amtrak. Instead of 3 cents per ounce, the plan to pass through Committee Wednesday night tax 1. 5 cents per ounce on sugary drinks and diet drinks, too. On that same day, another teen says his watch and id card were taken and then another teen says he also had his money stolen after being confronted with a gun. Each victim says the man threatened to kill them if they called for help. Residents living along one kensington street are hoping police can find whomever smashed their car windows. The bucks county native suffered multiple fractures in his back and had a hemorrhage behind his eye. But hes home from the hospital showing signs of improvement. It could be a few months before the career firefighter returns to work with bensalem department.
