Reporter chris and dawn, what i learned tonight 28yearold brett mosque was killed on the job he has worked for the past 10 years. As you just heard, his mother could barely speak as she begged for help finding her sons killer. Somebody noes something. Somebody scene something. Reporter the murderer of row chill smiths son is cutting her to the core. Somebody to go and shoot him in the head and kill my son. Reporter she got the call tuesday that someone had shot her twenty eightyearold son brett moss near one of his jobs work sights in camden. Investigators dont know why. My son is kind and loving. Reporter it happened around 12 00 oclock tuesday afternoon. Brett who lived in levittown work as scrap metal collector for Company Called emr and had been assigned to work this yard near 27th and saunders streets. Hed only been reporting there for two weeks. He was alone when rochelle says someone dragged him out of the site of security cameras into this alleyway next to the yard and shot him. He died at the hospital the very next day. The neighbors were elderly and they said he was sitting next to them and talk with them when the workload was light. They all loved him. Reporter brett graduated from Kutztown University way degree in social work. He played football well enough rochelle says to go pro but an injury side lined his career before it could really take off. He even got picked up by the Jacksonville Jaguars and he got a knee injury. Police in new castle county, delaware on the hunt for a man who burst into an elderly womans home. The home inn vague happened just afternoon today on the 700 block of hurfville road in the hed din ridge community. Authorities say 81yearold answer add knock on the door and a man forced his way in and roughed her up. He ended up stealing some items inside and taking off in red car. Authorities say this guy hit up the hyperian bank on the 100 block of west girard avenue this morning. He gave a teller a demand note and got away with cash. In delaware, a judge ruled today that a 16yearold girl charged with the death of another 16yearold will not be tried as an adult. The judge rejecting the prosecutions request ruling that the girl will be tried in family court on charges of criminally negligent homicide. Now this all stems from an assault inside the bathroom at wilmington highs Howard High School of technology. This was back in april. Prosecutors say the 16yearold repeatedly hit Amy Joyner Francis in a premeditated attack. Joyner francis a preexisting heart condition and the medical examiner ruled the attack contributed to sudden cardiac arrest. Happening now, Health Officials in Camden County are urging caution tonight. They say a bat in Haddon Heights has tested positive for rabies. More concerning a man found the bat inside his home. He quickly called county Health Officials. Now those officials are warning others in the county to be aware and to keep their families and pets safe. Natural habitat of course, but there is real concern here after a bat flew into a home in this Camden County community and then that bat testified positive for rabies. You do not want to expose yourself to this disease. Reporter cause for alarm in Haddon Heights after a homeowner discovers a bat inside the house. They did the right thing. Definitely call animal control make sure they come and investigate so they can trap and test for this animal to see there has been exposure. Reporter the bat was tested and it was rabid. Bats, raccoons all of those are rodents. So they are the most prevalent carriers of them. Reporter county Health Official say finding one rabid bat is serious. Same with other rabid wildlife which typically acts strange when theyre infected with rabies. If you see those kinds of animals in your neighborhood, the other thing you have to be concerned with your own pets. Because they can also attack your pets and if your pets get bitten, if you do not keep up with your rabies shot, they can be at risk. Absolutely that would concern me, yeah. Especially with brand new baby. I would be definitely be worried about that for sure. Reporter Health Officials did not identify the family who found the bat in their home but they were advised to seek preemptive treatment just in case. News of the rabid bat spread quickly in town. There could be other bats that are infected as well, okay, yeah. Yeah, that would definitely walk my dog every night, and in the park in Haddon Heights. I see bats.
