Hermine is regaining strength at the storm continues to churn in the atlantic just off the jersey shore. Keeping an eye on conditions down at the shore, we begin tonight with meteorologist, dave warren with the latest and when hermine is up to now, dave . Just moving off to the north northeast, watch this move closely, storm came through few days ago, interact dollars with that, now well out over the atlantic, upper low slowly drifting eats, put it altogether, at least this storm really going to slow down and not lose much over the next few days, that is the key here, because it is just sitting off the the coast. Big huge area of Tropical Storm force winds, with that eastnortheast movement, some intensification, that winds actually stays just off the coast here overnight tonight, and throughout the day tomorrow. Expect it to turn to the north, though, and slowly drift closer to land. So look at the wind area creeps inland across long island, new jersey and delaware, huge area of Tropical Storm force winds, thats the key with this storm here such large area, strong gusty winds will continue to pound the coast. Now, here we are monday at noon, large area of Tropical Storm force winds, actually, moving up toward i95, by tuesday morning, it is slowly begins to drift to the northeast, but talking about days here. Just consistent east to northeast wind, thats right along the coast, thats why coastal flooding is the big issue here. Tropical storm warning in effect, key times for the high tide, whats happening about now, then 12 hours later, 12 hours later in delaware, maybe 4 00, 5 00 in the morning for the tidal sections of the delaware, winds continues to gust, look how the storm drift to the northnortheast, that winds area moves off the coast, then spreads inland talking about 40 to 50mile per hour winds, between tomorrow afternoon, and monday morning, that means more coastal flooding, looking at possible minor flooding now, still minor flooding with tomorrows high tide, with sunday night and monday it could be moderate to major coastal flooding up and down all of the back bays and the coast. Heres what to expect, talking along the coast here first, the storm, that will be tomorrow night and early monday. Now, the rain is just off the coast, that can start to spread back inland, so see moderate to major flooding then periods of heavy rain, gusts close to 50 miles an hour, on top of the coastal flooding, sunday to early monday radar shows it just pushed off the coast, few light showers trying to fall across southern delaware, storm well off the coast, but that area will start to spread back to the northwest and by sunday night, early monday, just off the coast, so, sunday, monday, could be the heavy rain on top of the coastal flooding. So early shower, for a lot of folks coming out here, dawn, who would have thought, this time yesterday, that it would be sam bradford getting out of town and a lot of eagles fans who should be getting out of this town, sticking around, so while sam will be wearing purple tomorrow, and monday, a lot of eagles fans will be wearing green. That will will continue probably through monday until the storm start to move out. Sunday, and monday, are expected to be the worse of the next couple of days, is there a vac plan, shelters . Road closures . The governor has placed a state of emergency under three count ills, no required evacuations, we do have some people that have on their own started to leave town to go back home leaving their second homes here, they own, vacation homes in cape may, go back to their homes in pennsylvania, new york, some of the midatlantic surrounding state. But, you know, we will be, you know, using our warning sirens, if the flood tides come in, to alert people to move their vehicles, to higher ground, and we do have our Public Safety and public works departments ready to takings if the winds cause any trees to come down, and those types of things.
