Chris, authorities have made it abundantly clear, this is not over yet. Reporter that is right, lucy. Very tense hostage negotiation still continues at this hour at delawares largest maximum security prison. Two Corrections Officers still remain being held as hostages at this time at james t. Vaughn correctional facility as the standoff with inmates now enters its 13th hour. Prison Officials Say tonight they are in communication with unknown number of inmates who have taken over at james t. Vaughn correctional facility. Its been a long and difficult day. Reporter delaware governor john carney reacting to the hostage crisis that started at 10 30 this morning. Thats when officers got a call of a major disturbance in building c of the max security prison. Officials say, four employees, three officers an counselor w taken as hostages. As scores of Law Enforcement from around the state swarmed to the prison throughout the day, two employee hostages were released and about 7 30 tonight more than two dozen inmates were also let go. We dont note dynamics of the takeover and we don know the dynamics of any inmates were held against their will or if these inmates simply requested to be released werent released. Reporter the incident set the entire delaware prison system on complete lock down. Take a look at those green lights in the air. It looks like Corrections Officers have launched some Surveillance Drones over building c to get a good idea what may be going on inside. Meantime, people who live near the prison are on edge. We saw troopers on top of troopers just coming down. I knew immediately it has to be something at the prison. Reporter donna stones nephew work in the prison. She says staffing is a big iss issue. What i keep hearing is not enough guards. Yeah. Thats the problem half the time. Theres not enough guards and theres a lot of them they do a lot of overtime and stressed out and tired. Reporter prison commissioner himself was asked point blank, does he have enough staff . The silence was deafe deafening. Any correctional facility, were doing staffing analysis right now to determine the amount of staff that we need. Reporter now, one of those two Corrections Officers still remains in the hospital tonight. We understand he was beat up very badly inside. Now, a source win the prison tells me tonight there may be upwards of 90 to 100 inmates still in charlie building where those two hostages are being held. Reporter physical narcotics officers made the arrest of the 31yearold Food Service Employee after being tipped off that he may have been selling marijuana to students inside the sprawling high school in northeast philadelphia. Prosecutors are now saying that her parents failed to get the child medical attention. State police were called to the home of grace and Jonathan Foster on talbert street in upper top poe hawk kin township last november. They found the little girl dead on the couch. The couple says that theyre daughter ella grace had a rough night and was breathing rapidly. The couple is part of non denomination al Faith Tabernacle church and they told police their religion prevents them from intervening. Both parents indicated that they did not believe in medications or doctors and the death of victim was gods will. The da says the doctor who performed the autopsy says ella grace had a 95 chance or better of survival if she did been given antibiotics. The couple is now free on unsecured bail. According to a grand jury report, multiple faculty members at the sole were bury school manipulated and sexually abused students for a half century. Also only one other case is recent enough for the prosecutors to pursue charges but the victim does not want to testify. Happening right now, a Delaware County teacher is in big trouble.
