Now as we watch our storm system in this area of low pressure riding along a front it will intensify offshore pulling back more moisture into south jersey and into new york during the afternoon. Now lets go hour by hour. You can see the snow developing through the poconos and Lehigh Valley. Thats about 5 00 a. M. By seven, 8 00 a. M. Along the i95 corridor and then we continue to see it sweep offshore by the noon hour. But behind it, some snow squalls. You could could be caught in few of these during the afternoon. So lets talk about what to expect. We do have Winter Weather advisory for the north and west into the Lehigh Valley until noon. General toll to 4inches of snow there. For philadelphia, about an inch. A wet slushy inch manny mainly on grass less to the south and western suburbs in the Lehigh Valley two or 3inches but more in the poconos where it will be colder longer and untreated surfaces to the north and west could be seeing some snow sticking. Breaking news tonight will make lot of drivers happy. Delaware river bridge is set to reopen just in time to help out what might be that hectic morning rush with Winter Weather heading our way. County tonight. Brad . Reporter iain were actually at the turnpike entrance in bristol where for the last seven weeks you can only go toward harrisburg. You couldnt cross over into new jersey. Repairs were told werent supposed to be completed until april. But Officials Say there were a lot of best Case Scenarios here, and as a result, the bridge is expected to open at some point between 10 30 tonight and midnight. After seven weeks the end of the detour is here. The detour that forced all traffic off both the pennsylvania and new jersey turnpikes prior to crossing the Delaware River. It has been a brutal seven weeks for some drivers. It takes me anywhere from an extra to 20 to 45 minutes. For the last seven weeks thats what youve been up against . Yeah. As opposed to smooth one hour drive ive been having one and a half hours on average. Reporter but the bridge will again be back open for tomorrow morning rush hour. Several weeks ahead of schedule, you know, thanks a lot of hard work by a lot of people on both sides of the Delaware River and also thanks to little bit of luck especially with the weather we were able to open well ahead of our projected april reopening of the bridge. Reporter it was back on january 20th when the bridge was immediately closed after a fracture was discovered during a paint job. The crack caused the bridge to sing 2inches. It took massive jacks, several weeks to lift the bridge back into position and crews then permanently spliced the crack. And then eight dump trucks filled to capacity repeated drove over the bridge and sensors ultrasound tests and High Definition cameras all determined it was safe. Good news though trucker Harold Garrett from ohio says the closure helped him to discover that crossing the i95 bridge instead was free. Thats his new route. Safe money. Thats all that matters. Bottom line any more. Reporter meanwhile drivers just hope the fix is indeed permanent. Hopefully theyre doing it the right way and not just pu putting a patch on it and slapping it together. Man with an ax attacked people at a train station in Duesseldorf Germany injuring seven. He took off and jumped off an overpass near the train station. That is where Police Caught up to him and arrested him. Officials say the 36yearolds badly injured and appears to suffer from serious psychological issues. They say he had originally moved to germany from the former yugoslavia. West chester courtroom jury selection underway in the eric frein case. Prosecutors say 33yearold eric forty nine killed Corporal Byron dixon and seriously hurt trooper alex douglas outside Pennsylvania State Police Barracks in september of 2014. Though it happened in pike county jury selection is in west chester. The trial is set to begin apri april 3rd. Frein could face the death sentence if convict. This is the National Shrine saint john neumann. What one guy did inside this church some say was anything but holy. Hes really doing something extraordinarily disrespectful. The man known as philly jesus seen behind the altar at the shrine of saint john neumann holding up a ceremonial vessel carrying the blessed sacrament known as a mon advance. As far as catholics are concerned were not supposed to be doing that. So eighths little bit uncomfortable. I felt that it was inn appropriate for a person to take that liberty. Someone shot two men in their 20s. Both of them are now at Temple University hospital in critical condition. Police say the shooter fired at least 16 shots. A chase, a crash and one loud wake up call for new jersey family. Penns grove police say they were after driver who blew through a stop sign when they tried to stop him he took off. The chase only lasted three blocks before he slammed into a house. Police say he jumped out of the car and took off leaving behind two adults and two children in the car all of them are injured but not seriously. Police have yet to find the driver. And several 300yearold could have phipps were unearthed february 21st. But Tuesday Morning came the mother load. More than 30 coffins dating back to colonial philadelphia were discovered as neighbors looked on in amazement. Reporter in fact this was a Baptist Church cemetery dating to 1707. 1859, the cemetery was moved but clearly not all the bodies made the trip. Now, remains of more than 50 men, women and children are paying stakingly being dug up by archaeologists anthropologists from the Mutter Institute and rutgers camden. The goal is to learn something. I mean this is a wonderful opportunity to really have a window into some of the earliest citizens of philadelphia. Who they were. What their lives were like. Reporter among the most heartbreaking finds, this tiny coffin no doubt built for a toddler or even an infant. Its sad certainly, but its also cool just to think about all the people that have been in old city for such a long time and lived and literally died here. Northeast philadelphia tacony section is known for its proud working class roots and homes and people here are tired of getting lost in the shuffle. Jobs are no jobs around. All the plant all the people are out, you know what i mean. Tony says hes been coming to the tacony town watch meeting since the 80s and remember better times in his neighborho neighborhood. I just hope that they create some jobs up here in the neighborhood. And stop the crime around here. Reporter he welcomes a move by city hall to give phillys socalled middle neighborhoods a facelift. Tacony, its mayfair, east oak lane, lawn crest, mount air wreak wynnefield, overbrook pa park. And these are neighborhoods that we described over the years as being on the tipping point. Reporter City Council Woman sherell parker introduced a move calling for a hearing for these areas with stable homeownership and hardworking people to keep the American Dream from slipping away. She walked us threw part of the cedarbrook section where many homes are crumbling and while there are surviving businesses on washington lane, she wants more places to prosper and maybe see the kind of construction you would see in places like Northern Liberties. One of the greatest, upping, sort of not complaints but concerns you hear from people who live in those areas ive worked all of my life, weve been the heart of the citys tax base for years, but what is the roi. It has gone to her lungs we keep fighting for the little nod jewels that keep, upping, appearing we go in and well take them out, and theres more that just keep coming. Its something well basically going to fight forever. Reporter the sisters at sigma cpa are helping to ease some of victorias struggles with lots of love, fun and friendship. Even though shes had hard ships shes nota phrased anything. She still wants to do it all and she wants to be the same as us. Ice skating trip with the sisters proving victoria is not going to let live pass her by. She went out there. Five girls holding her up she made it around the ring. Reporter victoria loves to sing. Karaoke is her absolute favorite. The fight song is her motto in life. This is my fight song. Amazing bond between this teenager and the young women of sigma cpa all thanks to the efforts of the be positive foundation. Reporter besides funding Childhood Cancer research and helping families financially it pairs children with cancer with different organizations on College Campuses across the country. She makes us feel so special because she loves us so much and like its so proud to be paired with us. How do you feel if your heart when you found out that they picked you . I felt happy and im kind of loving it. [ laughter ] reporter joe founded the nonprofit after his 14yearold son andrew died of cancer in july of 2007. His sons blood type was b positive and he decided then and there he was going to be a positive force. College students put these children up on a pedestal and they help them forget cancer for a little while. In return, theres unexpected surprise for the students and thats perspective.
