Neither one of them are very happy. 17yearold told me when his iphone six fell off his desk in the middle of class this morning, and started to smoke heavily, he didnt know what to do. So he got up with his other classmates and left the classroom. The entire floor ended up being evacuated. West Philadelphia High School was quite wednesday night after a day that had students and faculty buzzing when a students iphone six started smoking badly after it fell off his desk as he sat in class wednesday morning. I got a phone call this morning saying that, you know, his phone had blew up. I just was just thinking about him and his safety and the school want was going on. Reporter his mom was shocked when she got a phone call from School Officials explaining what happend. Shes just happy he wasnt injured and also thankful no one else got hurt. This could have happened, you know, inside the home anywhere, the family could have been, you know, it just could have happened anywhere in our household and it could have been on fire. Reporter he says firefighters and the bomb squad opened up the phone and checked it out before returning it to him. Hes now planning a trip to the apple store in center city. He and his mom hope apple will replace the phone. I charge my phone every night. Never had this problem. Through a recall or whatever because somebody could have died. Cops say the driver punched that van in reverse and when they approach the car an officer was hit and dragged several feet. A Delaware County school aid is under arrest tonight charged with bringing a gun to school hes accused of having the gun and ammo at school in upper darby. A city fire official believes hundreds of gallons are flowing in. He walks away. Returns and shuts it all down as the hose goes slack. Wip minutes, hes gone. There he goes. Reporter you think that he in some ways is putting this community in danger. Most definitely. Reporter Debbie Mc Carty the head of Water Department is frustrated she says this guy cracked a special locked hydrant designed to defeat these. So this dude got a wrench. Umhmm. Hes got a pair of pliers and hes able to defeat it . Thats right. Unfortunately. Reporter mc carty says the big issue here is not cost but safety. Even life and death. He can damage the hydrant.
