This was the scene around 10 00 oclock this morning on the 300 block of airport road in new castle. Fire crews had to pull the driver to safety a short time later another vehicle tried to drive through the same high water. Firefighters hulls to rescue that driver. Thankfully neither driver was injured. As we told you at the start of the newscast National Weather service confirmed today tornado with winds topping 100 Miles Per Hour touched down in eastern Lancaster County last night. Reporter this is whats left of a house in gap Lancaster County a building disseminated by high powered winds. Behind it, a barn with a collapsed roof and debris scattered all around the yard. Pa state police say there are dozens of similar scenes of ruin all across the county. Theres residence as well as barnes. Theres a one room schoolhouse that was damaged pretty severe severely, and couple commercial structures. Reporter the storms battered the Farm Community overnight even knocking over chicken houses with tens of thousands of birds and side. Other animals are feared to be trapped, too. The commercial buildings do house many animals. So there are there are theres livestock that is affected. Reporter mazingly Officials Say there were no reported injuries to people. When you go through the past 20 years or so, between 1991 and 2010, pennsylvania averages about 16 tornadoes per year in the state. The february tornado very rare. Its only the second time weve ever seen one in the state in these years. The only other one was in 1999 in State College right outside penn states campus. The hospital says some may have been exposed to hiv or hepatitis c or b. Lets get out to Sabina Kuriakose now. Shes life outside Shore Medical Center tonight. Sabina . Reporter iain, hundreds of people got this dire warning and now one of them is asking why it appears hospital officials may have waited to tell them. When i got the letter i just i was hysterical. I called my daughter crying and saying, i cant believe this, blah, blah, blah. This was the letter arlene got last thursday from Shore Medical Center and held terrifying news. Arlene was being asked to get tested for hiv along with hepatitis b and c. The Atlantic County woman is one of more than 200 people to get that letter. All treated at the somers Point Hospital 15month period starting in june of 2013. I was lived. I was screaming at them how can you send this letter out without like a phone call or something . I mean obviously its going to cost i was lot to investigate this and warn the public. Couldnt you have made a perm phone call to calm people down. Ive been crying all night long. Reporter the letter coming one month after the pharmacist was charge charges he tampered h vials of morphine. He was swapping out the potent painkiller for saline solution. Hospital officials suspend mcleash in september of 2014 while conducting an internal investigation into his work. He surrendered his pharmacist license by december of that year. A year and a half later, as the criminal case moves forward, patients are only now being notified that they may have been exposed to those three incurable blood born diseases. Temple under grad rick fields stopped here along 18th street off campus in 2013 to take pictures with his iphone of about 20 officers outside a house party. One of the officers is is standing up and telling him to get out of there and arresting him and putting nim a car and giving him citation.
