The sixth day in a row mow protests spelling out through the streets of the city and for the sixth day in a row police say they have been mainly peaceful protests. Oozes one of those marchs in set to step off from north philadelphia in just a few minutes but the over last six days, demonstrations have been going on around major cities across the country. They are demonstrating against recent Police Killings of africanamerican men. The marches most until the center city have been blocking traffic. Theyve been blocking highway ramps, loud voices making their presence known throughout seat. Sometimes hours at a time. Many times these officers out here are getting yelled at with slurs, with profanity and theyre the same people trying to keep those protesters save through traffic along their march. The organization showing up for Racial Justice hosting todays protests outside of city hall. The group of White Philadelphians say they are ta taking action to end racism once and for ale. Protesters read allowed the names of africanamericans killed by police while stopping traffic around city hall this morning. Demonstrators are hitting the streets and cities and towns across the nation last night in memphis, tennessee thousands of demonstrators gathered to draw attention to the recent Police Involved shootings of al tan sterling and ferlando castile. Happening now, Regional Rail commuters arcommuters are testiw interim schedule trains are running at new times and intervals and this comes after more than a week of septa taking a third of its Regional Rail fleets off the tracks because of structural issues. Septa says it has noticed an improvement today compared to last week with those added rail cars and an a amended schedule, however, there are still issues. There are still delays and congestion septa says its a work in progress and its still trouble shooting. Nearly one week after septa announced it removed one third of its Regional Rail cars from service the delays overcrowding inconveniences continue. Its difficult to get to work on time in the morning or to get to work early. Im taking the train early so that i can, um, i can avoid the rush hour, you know. There have been days when ive been driving. As of this week septa is adding 18 trains to its fleet. The equipment is leased from amtrak, nj transit and maryland with new trains comes an amended train schedule. Nick, of bryn mawr says its a definite improvement from last week. 640 from where i live on the paoli line the 640 came in and it was an amtrak train carrying septa passengers. In collaboration with project home this program trains the vets to reenter the work force and reestablish themselves in the community.
