One septa employee is in Critical Condition tonight after two trains collided at the 69th street terminal in upper darby this morning. Luckily the trains just preparing to go out or it could have been a whole lot worse. The ntsb is now on its way to figure out exactly what went wrong. Ntsb taking the case tonight we can also tell that you while Train Service is back up and running at 69th street station there will be no ab express Service Tonight were told by septa that you should be ready for some potential delays and overcrowding. In the meantime, questions are being asked tonight. Investigation is under way in upper darby as septa crews try to find out what caused seven cars from two trains to derail during a morning crash at 69th street station. It shut down a chunk of the market frankford line for hours causing headaches for commuters. I work with children. I work at children hospital, differ hospitals. I jump on the train on a regular basis, and i think its going to impact the commuters. The people about to get back and forth to work when i worked in south philly i took this every day and its a major inconvenience. Messed up like this. Reporter septa officials tell us the train crashed into the back of another one that was stopped. The first one then derailed hitting part of a third train along the way. Its not clear if speed was a factor the speed limit at the curve is 10 miles per hour. Several people got hurt. There were four injured. Two operators and two passenge passengers. One operator was transported in Critical Condition and the other three were transported with nonlife threatening injuries. Septa buses covered the ground between 63rd and 69th streets where the market frankford line was temporarily shut down due to the accident. But the scene has commuters thinking about other problems theyve had. Rails lines and then the cracks on the on the frankford el. Something is hay wear somewhere. Reporter Transit Authority pulled several cars that had cracks on the market frankford line earlier this month. However, Officials Say todays crash is not related. Septa has got to do something. There have been two victims in the past week. The most recent incident happened sunday in it at the arundel apartments in wilmingt wilmington. Police believe its the same man in both cases. Theres now a 20,000 reward for any information leaderring to an arrest and a conviction. In bucks county, two men are charged with two separate child sex assaults in the same park. Solebury Township Police arres arrested sole bar son and nick lace fisher for two separate minutes. Investigators say bar son met 13yearold at pat lies see park and assaulted her earlier this month. Fisher met a teen online and agreed to moat at the same park where the assault happened. Each man is charged with various Sexual Assault charges. Police did not say if the cases are at all linked. New jersey teacher arrested accused of having sex with a teenaged student. State police say once jacobs learned he was under investigation, he allegedly told the teen not to cooperate.
