That bullet hole in the wall above that crib. The bullet went through a screen window through a bedroom wall, lodging in a humidifier in the boys bedroom. Five shots were fired last night around 11 00 oclock at sixth and walnut streets but one of them traveled a block away to the apartment inside the boat house apartments. Police say this came a week after shots were fired from the same location. The police chief telling us tonight this very well could have been a homicide. Imagine your three year old and a bullet passes that close to him. Youre just sitting there watching tv and the second thing the people that are handling these firearms, they have no idea when they pull that trigger in that split second where that piece of steel is going to go. Reporter now, police are afraid this may be a sign of escalating violence in this area. Especially because after two shootings from this same location in a weeks time they are very concerned. I can tell you police just came over to give us a description of who they may be looking for. They just got these descriptions. They are looking for two black males described as very skin feature one of them 5foot eight. One of them 6foot tall. Both of them wearing black or gray clothing. I can tell you that police will be out here in the next 20 minutes handing out flyers desperately trying to find information they believe someone knows information on this and they say those descriptio descrs theyre hoping may help them find who theyre looking for. Iain. Chris thank you. Sky fox over a fire in north philadelphia this afternoon. It broke out at a high rise Apartment Building on 11th and york streets around 2 00 p. M. Firefighters say one person who was on the 14th floor is being treated for smoke inhalation. No one else was hurt. The cause of the fire is still under investigation tonight. Scary moments in Cape May County today when a chopper pilot forced to make crash landing. This happened j the chopper fortunately avoided homes in the area crashing in an open field. The pilot and a passenger were both taken to cape Regional Medical zen. The pilot was not hurt. The passenger injuries are not lifethreatening. The faa is looking into what happened. New developments to night in the hunt for the person who killed two women in philadelphias mayfair neighborhood. This happened on saturday. Fox 29s Dave Schratwieser joins us live now. Hes outside Police Headquarte headquarters, and, dave, it sounds as if police are closing in on the killer. Reporter no doubt about that. Right now a person of interest is inside the homicide unit here for questioning. In fact hes been here for several hours. No charges have been filed at this hour but police are still looking for a motive. We believe that the killer new both of them. Reporter less than 48 hours after a gunman shot two women in the head at close range in their vista street home, homicide detectives appear to be closing in on a suspect. Through investigation, weve identified what we believe were calling a person of interest, a 25 year old male whos currently in homicide now and were questioning him. Reporter 67 year old dolly evans was found shot in the head on the first floor. 57 year old Ruby April Thomas was shot multiple times including once in the head on the second floor in the 4700 block of vista street. Detectives say there were no signs of forced entry and no weapon was found. The family dog was outside. Whoever did this was already inside of the property and we did get some information on an individual who been staying and there seen leaving short thereafter the gunshots. Very kind hearted. Friends and neighbors say evans and thomas were good people and they say the whole neighborhood here is scared. Its scary, and i just hope it comes to an end. I hope they, you know, will be able to close the book. Very shocked. Im not going to lie. To i was very, very shocked and actually the whole family is scared. Police say the two women were known in the neighborhood for taking people in who were down on their luck. Investigators wont say yet if thats what led to their deaths. Hopefully well get some answers to those questions. But right now we dont know what this is about. Find justice and hold the person accidentable. Were hoping speaking to this person of interest.
