See, told you, there is still some snow on the radar. And it is in montgomery county. It is in a little bit of bucks county, chester, lancaster, berks counties, right now, so well look a little more in depth at radar in a few minutes, walking out the door right at freezing in philadelphia, but with a 8mile per hour breeze, and you see the flag right there, it feels like 25. So, sunrise is at seven, on the dot there is morning. Thats a big milestone. Because that means the days at least are getting longer as we get colder heading into valentine weekends. 32 degrees here as we said. Thirty in allentown, 28 lancaster, 33 atlantic city, 34 wildwood. Factor in the wind, lets dress for the windchills in the teens, 20s, this morning. Winds coming out of the west, changing direction a little bit, now that the storm is beginning its exit. Visibility, we had few issues earlier, so getting little better even with the breezes, but you might run into some fog around the allentown area this morning. Mostly if it is still snowing. So little bit of snow this morning, breezes picking up, about 37 degrees for our High Temperature today, down into the 20s tonight, we will be lucky to get to 24 for High Temperature by the time we get to the weekends. Well talk about, that bring you the seven day forecast, right now, 4 02, i guess the side streets are the big problems this morning, right, bob . Little bit of everything this morning. We woke up this morning, looking out on the driveway, kind of covered. Snow covered just like the sidewalks here, but were certainly going to be dealing with black ice, the temp on the dashboard, showed 28 degrees, were showing 33 here, were right there, around that freezing mark. So any of the roads that were not treated with either salt or brine over the last day and a half have the potential of being iced over. Example of county line, stump road. Looking real close leer in the overhead street lamp you can see it certainly is that light snow flurries still out there this morning. And that of course is going to make things slippery for not only the cars but also for the bus drivers, and the little ones standing out on the corners. Major roadways are open. They were treated, brian dollars, wet, i think well be okay. It is getting to the major roadways where you have to use some caution, your driveway, even the front step walking out the front door, could be little slippery. All of the bridges have reduced speeds this morning, because of the weather, and the new jersey turnpike, still has 35mile per hour speed restriction, from the delaware memorial all the way up to the George Washington bridge. The schuylkill, no problems at all, 95, most of the overnight construction pretty much canceled because of the weather last night. The falls bridge, still closed to vehicle traffic. So use the city avenue bridge. Remember, any of those bridges are going to have tendency to freeze up before the actual road surface. So, just be careful. Again, you will see the salt crews out there. They will be responding to any of the black ice reports that we get during the course of the morning. Brandon mitch he will exchanged thousands every Text Messages with a student including naked photos. Police say mitchell used to work at the Downingtown West High School as a chemistry teacher and last been accused of sending sexually explicit Text Messages to a 16 year old student. That went on from may of 2013 until december of 2014. According to investigators. Now the students parent eventually found out and then they called police. There was well over 10,000 Text Messages exchanged between them, not all of them clearly were inapropriate Text Messages, but it was part of the process of befriending the student. Investigators served search warrant on mitchells home on east minor street in west chester where they confiscated his cell phone and computer. In the atlantic, cruise ship set to arrive back in new jersey sometime this evening. And there are few snowflakes that we still see here on ultimate doppler radar, as we look at new castle county, delaware, Chester County, pa, that light gentle snowfall that we had, most of the day yesterday, but, you see, little heavier around aberdeen, maryland, and that area of snow is headed eastward. So, again, not finished yet. You may want to make sure to leave early if you are an early riser, and youre up watching now, obviously you are. Anyway, delco, chester, pa, still getting light snowfall this morning. Down middletown, delaware, youre getting some light snowfall, as women. We expect this to continue through about 6 00, 7 00 this morning, not until maybe after 8 00 that we can finally say that is it for that. Then we get some sunshine, but we also see the winds pick up later on in the day, and the wind gusts will be pretty high this afternoon, and that should be it. See some snow trying to move in tonight just some flurries, and this would be lake effect snow, because of the cold air rolling in. But not expected to happen in our area in the overnight hours. After it is finished this morning, i think were finished for awhile. And 32 degrees is our current temperature in philadelphia, 20s for a lot of our other actual temperatures, but we do have to factor in the winds this morning, but even before it picks up this afternoon, weaver 8mile per hour winds here. That makes it feel like it is in the 20s in most places this morning, say, windchills in the teens, 20s, only made it to 37 degrees yesterday. It was not a major snow event. But it will linger into a few more hours of this morning, 36 degrees today, upper 30s for tomorrow, and then when we really see the cold kick in, just in time for the weekend, for valentines weekend, but this is brutal cold, unlike really weve seen all winter, with a high on sunday only 24 degrees, Early Morning low, on sunday, of five. Windchills even below that. Whether we get into monday night and tuesday we are expecting our next Winter Weather event. Lets just call it that. Because were going to probably see mix every rain and snow once again. When you see the fog, do you like smack your screen to make sure that it is correct . You know, like bump . Hey, yo we have the light snow showers, less calories than the heavy snow, but this is stump road, just off of county line, and you can see, the roads are wet, the snow kind of coming across the, you know, diagonal here, across the camera lens, thats an example of the winds out there. So even though we dont have heavy snowstorm here, we still got the factors. We got the snow, we got the wet roads, any of the roadways that have not been treated, like your secondary roads, the neighborhoods, the culdesacs, the roadways that the school bus also have to navigate, are most likely going to contain some black ice. Look at this, just lost a degree here, so at 32 on the board, 28 on my dashboard coming in. So right there, around that freezing level. So watch for the black ice, 95, all of the majors in good shape. The majors have been treated, theyve been well traveled on the overnight, maybe the on and the offramps that have been less traveled could be a little slippery. Your exiting 95, say, castor avenue, or maybe into center city, offer callowhill there, the ben franklin bridge looking good, but there are speed restrictions in play on all of the area bridges this morning. Our first flooding note of the morning, the brooklawn circle, you know the deal, route 130, 47, and that same example as we had yesterday, you know the areas, that have the tendency to flood or get high water when we get the wet weather incidents, and we have high tide kinds of all come together here for morning rush hour. Philadelphia police and special victims unit looking into these allegation. Search for elderly Chester County man reported missing last week has come to tragic end. Authority found the body of 93 year old harry lister inside his car after pulling it from the Schuylkill River yesterday afternoon in pottstown. Lister left his Chester County home on thursday never returned. Hits family says he injured his head in a fall just a day before. Police are investigating how the car ended up in that river.
