It happened about an hour ago when a motorcycle traveling westbound crashed into the concrete barrier and the motorcyclist himself wound up in the eastbound lanes. That motorcyclist taken to a local hospital, hahnemann, being treated there. All lanes of the schuylkill were blocked for about 30, 35 minute or so. After a man was killed breaking into the home of his ex, and her new partner, this all happened in a second floor front bedroom just after midnight on the 800 block of north month costreet. Now, we are told, that he has been shot by the new partner and is rushed to the hospital by police. The victim is pronounced dead at the hospital. Comes say the shooter then ran away. Police, do know who he is. This all happened with the children here, a boy and a girl in the house the whole time. The two children she has were home at the time. Currently at the Homicide Division being interviewed, young, under the age of 15, young kids, didnt need to see this situation go on. But we are dealing with them, and dealing with what they need as far as counselling. Police say that the victim first tried to breakin through the kitchen window on the first floor, it was actually pushed out of the home, by the mother of his children, and her new partner. Thats when police say he then went for the second floor, the fight happened, then the shooting. This is a man who is just 20 years old when arrested. Lawyers from the innocent project, group that folk you cents on freeing those wrongfully convicted, they, at the time of his arrest, wright was physically threatened into signing an alleged confession, Anthony Wright has always maintained his innocence in connection to the 1991 rape and murder of 77 year old north philadelphia woman, louise tally. In a retrial, wrights lawyers produced dna evidence that exonerated wright and matched the dna of a man named ronnie bird, bird died in 2013, so there are a lot of questions in this case.
